I received my angel package for katpac yesterday and let me tell you...I was spoiled! Be prepared to pin, cause this stuff is awesome!!!!

First, she had these labeled as the "small"

not one, not two, but three mini creatures. The Ood is my absolute favorite!

Then she had this labeled as "medium":

My very own sonic screwdriver pen! I have allready been using this pen at my office. Smiley

Then came the "large" (more like xl!):
my very own universe in a jar:

and "Who" (pun intended) is in this universe but 10 and Rose! 10 even has tiny spiky hair!!!

here's a pic of the outside so you can see the layers in the jar:

I also got some extras:

spacey fabric and timey wimey bead soup!

Thank you sooooo much again, katpac! Everything is amazing!! I can't imagine I would've gotten a better package had things turned out differently. Thank you!!!

2  Last Minute Wedding Gift in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by ehinders on: May 06, 2013 08:40:24 AM
I needed a last minute wedding gift. I had seen a cool tutorial for reverse stenciling on Pinterest, and thought I'd give it a whirl. Here's the result:

I used an old print in a frame and spray paint. I did a tutorial on my blog, if interested.

Those temple blocks are amazing!

Whew! I've got a lot of big projects that I'm almost done with. Hopefully I can finish some of those this weekend. I have gotten a few things done. This is the only thing I can share so far.

20. The 6th Doctor Who art:

The rest will have to wait until my partner receives (hopefully tomorrow)

I received an awesome package of spoilage for Maddy from deathbeforedishes yesterday.

Slippers and felt cupcakes:

Hair bows!

And then, came a massive amount of goodies for Maddy's felt board:

Here's the rest of the pile and some books to go with them:

(sorry those last two pics seem to be blurry)

deathbeforedishes, thanks so much! the slippers fit great. The hair bows are super cute, and those felt nursery rhyme pieces are fabulous! Where did you get those?

Hey everyone. I was also in the last round of the Doctor Who swap. I did a couple of things, but the thing I'm most proud of is an art piece to represent the 6th Doctor.

you can read a whole post about it here. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=423215.0#axzz2S4OfwADI

I also sent a crack in the wall I cut out of vinyl for her wall:

6  The 6th Doctor in rectangular form in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by ehinders on: May 01, 2013 02:06:58 PM
I recently participated in the Doctor Who rd. 8 swap. My partner said she liked the 6th doctor best. He has a wild suit. (Pic here) I thought it would be fun to try and recreate the suit in art form. I took a rectangular canvas and glued various fabrics around it to make it look like the suit.

Here it is:

I used some of the left over ribbon from his tie to make a hanger.

the Back:

Here's a side so you can see the fabric under the lapels:

all the fabric was from the thrift store. I used a little boy's button down for the collar of the shirt. Both of the plaids were napkins. The gold lapel of the jacket was a tie, and the peach side was another napkin. I had a lot of fun figuring out how to make this happen. The only thing I think I'm missing is a cat pin on the lapel. What do you think?

My partner is MIA, and I'm not entirely sure if she got my package or not, since I sent overseas. However, it's been quite awhile since I sent, so I'm going to post pics.

I cut a crack for her wall with my Cricut:

I painted a mug with a weeping angel and a Tardis:

The big project was this art piece. My partner put that her favorite Doctor was Colin Baker (6th Doctor). The most memorable thing about that Doctor to me was the outfit. (example here) I took a piece of canvas and wrapped it with cloth to resemble his suit.

back:

The only thing I couldn't find was a cat pin for the lapel. Otherwise, I think I did a pretty good job recreating the outfit.

I received from spikefan. She made Maddy the cutest Eeyore ami ever. Thanks so much! Maddy ran off with it right after I took the pics. Smiley

So you can see his cute little tail:

always- I haven't had any problems when I use burlap coffee sacks. regular burlap fabric from the fabric store does fray and frizz alot though.

Here's one I did before:

I have a chair that I started redoing last year. Here's how far I've gotten:

I was going to use this fabric (tan and off white ticking stripe) to cover the seat:

Then I found the burlap coffee sacks and my local fleet and farm.
One side:

the other side:

Which one do you guys like? Right now I'm kind of partial to the burlap with just the blue stripe.

Sorry these pics aren't the greatest, can't find my camera so I had to use my cell phone.
