I love felted animals!
You did a really good job on this and I hope you can get some pictures of him during his travels!

4  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Felted Baby Dragon (IMG HEAVY) on: May 11, 2008 05:50:35 PM
This is my latest felting attempt, behold! The baby dragon!

Front view close-up. He even has a little tongue:

His tail turned out a lot thinner and longer than I had intended, so it looks a little weird in the pictures, but it's not so bad in real life.

Another profile shot:

And another:

And here he is with the little frog I made. This is sort of a size reference picture. Both are small enough to fit in my hand.

Thanks for looking!

(There should actually be a few more pictures for this post but for some reason it's not displaying them. I'll try again later to fix it.)

7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Yet another robot. on: May 11, 2008 05:40:11 PM
I thought I'd try my hand a robot that was in a color other than grey, and thus she was born:

Thanks for looking.

This is the best thing I've ever seen!
I definitely just has to restrain myself from typing that all in caps! Haha!
I love robots and you did an excellent job, I definitely had to click the "This Rocks" button.
Awesome! Grin

10  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / My Felted Frog *IMG HEAVY* on: May 03, 2008 05:01:05 PM
So I've been wanting to try this for a while and today I found a fiber store and got some sweet wool and felting needles.
I was going to try to make an "egg animal" (from the book I got), but it wasn't turning out the way I wanted, so I decided that since my wool was so green I should make a frog.
So here's my very first try at felting:

And here's the wool. I'm pretty pumped for it so I thought I'd include pictures.
It's all hand dyed by the ladies who run the store.
