11  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Square glass marbles on: March 13, 2008 12:41:12 AM
Anyone know where I can purchase flat square marbles? Like the flat round ones used for magnets. I'd love to get my hands on some squares and rectangles.

Thanks!

I needed this to hang out above my overflowing cleavage. (joke!)  Cheesy

Thanks for checking it out!

Some more pinup bling!  Grin I really like these silver neckwires. I'd like to try making them myself sometime, but for now I just pick them up at the craft store. I wish I could pull off red lipstick.

Behold! My favorite thing I've ever made. I stressed about the word placement. I couldn't figure out how I wanted it, but I like it this way. I really love her bling and the flower in her hair. I cut the base from wood and painted it black. The image is covered with a high gloss glaze.

15  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Nintendo Pillow on: January 20, 2008 07:58:10 AM
I made this for the boyf a while back. It's deliciously fuzzy fleece, all handsewn. Originally I made one that was machine sewn but while I was embroidering the details (you will notice I did not attempt this on try #2) I got frustrated when my floss knotted up and somehow ended up with a hole in the pillow. Oops.

Anyway there's not a pillow in it in the photographs because it was being washed. This is what it looks like stuffed with clothes (a little lumpy). Dasani bottle for size reference.

16  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Zombie Flight 13 on: January 18, 2008 06:07:58 AM
So I saw a dead bird necklace on the www a few weeks back but I couldn't afford it and my awesome friend made one just like it for me. Plus she made me a hair clip! Well, I love it so so so much and I wanted to make another coordinating hair clip. The bird she made me is a beautiful blue with his guts spilling out. It's really quite cute. So I decided to combine a couple of dead bird images I had seen and make a skeleton birdie. It turned out too big to wear in my hair so I made this one into a pendant. I'll make a clip soon though. I used shrink plastic colored with prismacolors (oh my goodness those are so great!). The black chain is plastic.

The color is very solid in real life, but I had just put a coat of spray sealer on and in the pictures the light reflects funny. I'm going to brush on some resin to minimize surface texture tomorrow.

I had these owl charms hanging around for a bit and I thought they would be sweet earrings. They're about 2 inches tall, so lots of owlness on your head.

They are much cuter in real life.  Smiley Cloudy day for pictures.

18  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Whip it good! Two necklaces; earrings. on: January 13, 2008 08:32:38 AM
First, I love this pendant!! I made one like it before using a domino pendant base but I really prefer the oval shape.

Punk Rock Angel earrings! Yay! I also made a gold pair.

And "Cloudless". It's an antiqued gold-tone sparrow pendant chained up with clear crystal chips.

Thanks for checking them out!
19  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Queen of freaking everything. on: January 11, 2008 07:49:48 PM
I am! I really love the look on her face and the carefree pose.

Like a woman scorned! I will wear this all the time. It's my new favorite.  Smiley I love how pissed off she looks. Just like me.
