21  Yarn Ho Pinup Bracelet in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by ViciousEdge on: December 18, 2007 02:54:02 PM
Sexy and crafty! I think it turned out pretty cute. My friend designed it. Smiley Great idea, no?

The center of the piece is made from wood that I cut and sanded into an oval. I painted it black, and then covered it with the super awesome pinup and collaged "yarn ho" on top. I drilled through the oval to create a double stranded bracelet. Pretty much the coolest yarn ho ever.

22  It's not easy being easy! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by ViciousEdge on: November 01, 2007 02:05:40 PM
I made this a week or so ago and forgot to share it here.  Grin I like it. A lot. Probably too much.

The wooden heart is hand cut and painted, and I covered my mini collage with resin.

23  Knitting needle/crochet hook roll in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by ViciousEdge on: October 30, 2007 09:55:53 PM
I made this for my BOFF cause she likes to knit me stuff. It's her favorite thing to do, actually. So I figured she might as well be stylin' while she's knitting. She I picked out the fabrics, and don't they look so awesome together?

It's your typical needle roll. I didn't really follow a pattern. There are three rows of pockets, each row has 11 pockets, varying in width from 1 inch, to... I think 4 inches (for scissors and circular needles, I think). It's pretty much a quick project unless you decide you need to make your own bias tape and/or get distracted. Roll Eyes Oh, but how pretty! The ribbon is not super shiny. It was just playin'.

I don't have a lot of needles/hooks, so use your imagination:

Then you fold the flap down:

And roll it up!:

Sweeeet!

24  I call it my Die Hard Scarf... in Crochet: Completed Projects by ViciousEdge on: October 27, 2007 04:21:13 PM
...For no reason other than I watched Die Hard about 8 times while I was making it. This is my first crochet project, and it's pretty crappy.

But! I wanted to share it with all of you anyway! Awww. The whole thing is made in the only stitch I really know. Double crochet. It's 7 feet long. The yarn is super soft, and despite what the dark wonky pictures would have you believe, it is hot pink and gray. Cause those are the best colors ever. I pretty much got the hang of the color changes by the end. Notice all the stripes are not the same height. This was not intentional. I just got confused. Also, everything I found said "No knots! Weave in the ends on color changes".  Well, I found that to be pretty much impossible as I don't really know what they mean by weaving or how it's supposed to stay together without knots. So I knotted it. And it looks a little funny. So I'm going to give it away. I'm too good for this scarf. Which is great, cause I made it. Do you see? No? Oh wait, here it is!

The last gray piece is not weird-shaped. It just got folded/curled up in the photo. I don't know why I'm defending it.

Anyway, thank you very much for looking at my super bad Die Hard Scarf. It loves you. The end.

25  Coco is dead in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by ViciousEdge on: October 18, 2007 03:07:50 PM
Man I've been wanting one of these necklaces by Alex & Chloe for ages:

http://www.oaknyc.com/women/accessories/jewelry/alex--chloe-coco-is-dead

I can't remember how much they cost exactly. Like 50 bucks. Anyway... I don't have 50 bucks... but I have shrinky dinks! Plus I got to make it bigger. Cause I love obnoxiously huge jewelry. How did I do?

26  This is what a bitch looks like. in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by ViciousEdge on: October 17, 2007 03:30:35 PM
This cracks me up. I've been seeing the feminist tees everywhere and I was inspired to alter the phrase a little bit just because. I am not saying feminists are bitchy, at least not by default. I am. But that's all I'm saying.

Excuse the photos, they're a tad gray/grainy. Sorries! Super duper glossy resin on top. I like how it kind of sparkled in one picture. Very shiny in real life.

I'll use mine for evil!  Cheesy

Yeah, it's a little messed up. I'm making another.  Smiley

P.S. - I used to be miserylovesme, in case you knew me by that name! Can't post pics yet.  Sad
