1  Miss. Frizzle from the magic school bus! in Halloween Costumes by myownme on: November 07, 2009 11:07:50 AM
I went as Miss.Fizzle from the magic school bus! I lack a lot of talent in the creative department but I tried really hard this year and I was happy with the end result. I didn't get a great picture of the whole costume because I am new to this "show off your work" thing. But here it is

I bought the dress from value village and spent a couple weeks cutting and colouring the pictures. It was pretty time consuming. I cut out about half of the pictures and realized I needed some sort of harder paper behind them or else they would bend to much so I used card stock. I then got out my trusty glue gun and made sure to glue them on really well. I went to a law school Halloween party with my boyfriend (Indiana Jones) on the Thursday before Halloween and my dress got kind of beat up, so I pretty much had to re-glue everything for the Saturday Halloween party we had at our place. Ahh well!! I was impressed with myself because I spent $23 on all the materials for this costume Smiley

and I even had a Liz! I did not make this costume. It was bought at Petsmart. But this is my puppy Smiley

2  How to make a regular box into a "dressup box" for a 2 1/2 year old! Suggestion? in Winter Holidays by myownme on: November 29, 2008 06:15:04 PM
Hello Everyone,

I am looking for suggestions on how to decorate this box! I want to make it in to a "dress-up-box" for my 2 1/2 year old niece. Her name is Audrey, she's not incredibly girly, but I am not ruling how making it pretty pink or something. I would like to make it for Christmas. Does anyone have dress up boxes they could share with me or ideas? Anything would be great! Thank you!

3  Winnie the pooh nursery! in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by myownme on: March 30, 2008 10:10:32 AM
My mom was really artsy way back when. She then had three kids and got away from it for some reason. Now that her baby (me) has left the house she has been creating more. One of the things she did recently was a girls nursery with winnie the pooh characters.

I want to post some pictures of myself and some friends. I don't have their permission....sooo I hope its okay.

This is my boyfriend and I. I am Rosie the Riveter, and my boyfriend is a smurf. My costume was a lot of taking reworking fabric. My shirt is taken in a bit, it was very large and my bandanna is two pieces of small fabric tied together. There isn't much to the costume so I didn't make much but my friend made my button!

My friends as Wayne and Garth. Also another put together costume including the Waynes world hat.

Two more of my friends as Tom, Katie and baby! Cute

Towley from south park and superstar Mary Kathrine Gallager!

And Miss. South Carolina.

All were put together costumes with a few craftyness involved. I just thought I would share because I think the costumes are great!

6  Cat Burglar pumpkins! in Halloween Decor and Parties by myownme on: October 24, 2007 02:24:01 PM
My boyfriend and I carved our pumpkins yesterday. This was the first time ever that I did something else besides a face because I never knew how easy they were!

I did the cat and my boyfriend did the angry face. And then I randomly went a got one of my hats and switched and it looked like a burglar. So now we have a cat-burglar. hahaha.

7  Re: 2006 Completed Costumes Scrapbook! (completed project pictures & links go here!) in Halloween Costumes by myownme on: October 30, 2006 04:18:06 PM
Again with the Peach and Mario. I am surprised how many of us there are! (Because of the rule "In order to prevent spam bots and spammers, you must post 10 times in the forum before you are allowed to post a picture. In the mean time you are allowed to post links to pictures." I had to give you guys a link to the picture!)

My boyfriends costume is all thrown together. Yellow buttons and 'M' made out of paper. I used an old birthday crown and wrote peach on it and then added a blue necklace. It does not take much to put together the two of us, but I thought we were cute so I wanted to share!
