Not sure yet but we have friends who are expecting one of each so if I make either sex and we end up not needing it then we can give it to either of them. Smiley

I have read books and I can sew but mostly blankets. I have only made on shirt and it was a simple tube shirt with shirring.

Other than that I have never made anything with real shape to it.

Is it best to just buy a simple pattern and sit down and start? Is this how most people got started?

I am expecting and I have TONS of fabric and I need to not only use that fabirc to make room for baby but I would love for him/her to have a nice set of mom made outfits. Smiley

Thanks everyone.

Thanks for sharing.  Grin

The daddy doll is such a great idea. Something that you will have to save for when she is all grown. It turned out really cute too. DD is a doll herself. Congrats.

those are really cute. how do you cut out the tree? I have tried the freezer paper thing and I am sure I would not be able to cut such a perfect and pretty little tree!

Congrats on the we little baby girl Lucy! Love the name, we are also prego and on a small budget and will be doing the same as you and hitting yard sales.

I really love those! I am expecting as well can you tell me how or show me a link to make the sleeves on the onsie and to die for baby leggins. You are so spoiling that little baby.

Also what in the world in on your couch? I thought at first it was a little kid but then the head is much to small. Smiley
20  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Ok so this is more for a help me find the lost needle and thread. on: February 05, 2008 04:55:40 PM
Ok, so I am sure you can relate to being a bit absent minded sometimes. Kids will do that to you, right?

Well I was making some bows and I had a needle with some white thread on it. I was sitting here at the desk while the kids were asleep. YEAH for nap time.

Well I got a knock at the door and left the bow mess behind when I came back I picked everything up and put it away. But I cannot for the life of me find the needle and thread.

Now it could be that I picked it up and put it someplace and just cannot find the dang thing. Or if could be that it was snagged to something else I put away and fell on the floor. Or is lost on the desk.

I do not have one of those wonderful pin magnetic things. Sad

Can you please help me find this freaking needle and thread. I have kids running around and I do not want them to find it in the bottom of their foot. I have locked them out of this room but I know they will rip the door down any minute.

Do you think if I just ran the vac over the area that it would pick it up without breaking the dang machine?

HELP! Please.
