My family does a secret Santa every year, this year I got my youngest BIL.  His list included 2 packs of Jones soda (Fufu Berry), 3 Wendy's Baconators, 2 movies.   (Some members of the family had a problem with this list, but lucky for him, I drew his name! )
I decided to make him one Baconator and get him a gift certificate for the other 2 



The sesame seeds are seed bead sewn on after I finished the top bun.  The bun and bacon were made from Red Heart SuperSaver the rest was Caron Simply Soft.


The cheese was just one square, but the burger itself was 2 sewn together.



The final touch was when I went to Wendy's and asked for an unused wrapper (They listened to the story, laughed and gave me a stack of wrappers!  Lizard thinks it may be a real one, hopefully my BIL does too!)

My hubby works on the World Famous Jungle Cruise and one of his co-workers uses Cuthulu jokes a lot.  He suggested that I make the Cuthulu from creepy cute crochet for the guy's son (due in the next month or so).  I explained that those weren't appropriate for newborns, but I could modify it into something for a baby.  After looking up several patterns for inspiration(http://www.theanticraft.com/archive/imbolc08/eldergod.htm for the head, http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/81030AD.html?noImages=  for the blanket and creepy cute crochet for the wings)

He's made out of Caron Simply Soft and Caron Simply Soft ECO (I don't like ECO, it's nowhere near as soft as the regular) using a size 3mm steel hook.
I added rows to his head and made the tentacles as I went instead of separate and modified the 'arms' to hold toys/binky

I bought Creepy cute crochet a month or 2 ago and have been absessed with making these dolls!  All faces are embroidered on (I keep forgetting to put the safety eyes in first and my hubby is creeped out by safety eyes lol)


The lady is actually made from the Queen Vampire pattern.  Her face is simply soft, dress is red heart (I think, it was stash and unlabeled), hair is Jewel box


My gargoyle is a basic body, devil's head and cuthulu's wings.  He's made out of lion brand wool-ease.


The amazon is made from simply soft.  I didn't make her weapons (the one I did make kept snapping in half when I tried attaching it) and her hair is wild but I've come to like it that way.  I'm planning on making an army of amazons in diff colors

I had this pony floating around my apartment for awhile before getting brave enough to take her paint off and make her my own    I kept her original hair because it was too time consuming to change it for a first project.  I used acrylic panit for everything but her eyes and cutie mark.  I used a metallic gel pen for those.  I sealed her with a very shiny sealer (too shiny, but I kinda like it).  Sorry for the terrible pics, I finished her at night and my camera flash is terrible.  I'll post better pics when I can.








I was using the gel pen to outline where I was going to paint her eyes, but liked the pen color better than the bubblegum pink paint I originally used.  I decided to use it for the Pentacle too.  I like the scratchy/imperfect look to it.  I had the most problems with the eyes (the paint in the corners was difficult to completely remove) but overall I think she turned out great and I love her!

I made this scarf for my Disney rnd 8 partner.  She had this scarf on her wist: http://shanalogic.com/item.php?item_id=1695  I made up my own pattern for flowers and put this together for her.

I started out by making 4 large flowers of each color and 4 small ones of each.  I then randomly joined them together (I avoided putting 2 of the same color together) with the light pink yarn.  I used micospun (orange, white and yellow flowers), caron simply soft (blue, dk red, lt green and lt pink flowers), red heart super saver (I think) for the dk green and bright pink.   It ended up about 6 ft long and took about 8-10 hours in total.

I made this for my swap partner in Disney rnd 8.  I printed out coloring book pages and pics from the movie and taped them to the box.  I then took a pen and traced thru the paper so the lines were 'etched' into the wood.  From there I just painted it like it was a coloring book.  The poem is in my own handwriting.




The top one is before I decided to outline everything.  I'm glad i was talked into outlining, it really made everything pop.

I had this floating in my braind for awhile, when the Little Vistor swap rd 9 was posted I had the perfect reason to make her!  I'm new to making stuffies, so she's kinda rough, but I like her anyway!  I drew a rough body outline to use as a pattern and a wing pattern.  She is completely handsewn, as my sewing machine mocks me and my inability to thread it.  I didn't take making of pics, but here are finished pics.


Rainy didn't mind being nekkid, but I was tired of people saying she was a voodoo doll, so I made an outfit (I made it up, so it's very basic).  I also gave her a face (not completely happy with it, but it'll do)


I'm thinking of making the roses into another outfit for her.

We're currently doing the A B C ATC swap, how about a numbers one?  0-9, set up like the ABC one, 0 1 2 1st month, 3 4 5 the next etc?

OK, not really for a shower or new baby (but could be adapted to it, I think)  My husband and I having been trying to get pregnant for awhile now and I've been obsessed with making origami stars.  So I combined them into this-


We bought 6 sheets of 12x12 scrapbook paper, cut it into strips and wrote the baby names we picked on the plain side.  After putting them in a glass bowl, I tied a cute bow around it.  We had fun making them and it's a cute decoration. 

This could be a good thing to do for a baby shower (if the parents don't have the names picked out).  Have everyone write down a name and put it in a jar.  Also could be used for Wedding wishes for the new couple. 

I learned how to make the stars from this site http://www.tcpnow.com/activities/drstarorigami.html and was inspired to write our wishes on the stars.

I finally made some cracked marbles, but couldn't think of what to do with them.
