Sorry for the delay, here are pics of the rest of the awsome package Kimby. sent me!  This was just the pick me up I needed that day! (I had found out earlier that day that a friend I've known since 1st grade passed away 9 months ago.  I'm not sure why no one bothered telling me before then)

This cracked me up when I opened it (it says "No, I didn't send you and iron...I killed my old one!) My hubby looked at me funny when I walked into the room with an iron box  Cheesy

In addition to the palcemats/coasters, she sent a pretty greeting card w/a pic of Lake Tahoe on the front

Spoiler knew there was something for her, and Lizard was right behind her

The joy, the fights...

But all they really wanted was the kitty crack

Thank you so much, Kimby.!  Hubby likes the placemats/coasters too (It's so cool to have new stuff just in time for our new apartment!) The kitties say meow,  I assume that means thanks...or it could mean send more you puny human.  I like to think I've raised them better than that, so we'll pretend they said Thank you  Grin

There are more pics here http://s68.photobucket.com/albums/i30/Ariel_AKA_Warp/Swap%20-%20Received/ If anyone is interested.

I've received my A and B cards

A is for Airplane by Squirrelgirl

She sent it wrapped in a cute Donald Duck comic.  Lizard is modeling it in the other picture because she wouldn't move out of the way. Cheesy  I'm afraid my SIL and BIL will try to steal this one (2 of my BIL are pilots)  The red grommet looks a lot like my BIL's plane!

Burn by Radegunde

She sent it in a beautiful fantasy/dream card.  She actually burned the paper over a candle. SO cool!

(I'm now realizing I should've wrapped mine in something too,  I hope they don't get damaged.  Undecided)

99  Baby Wishing Stars in Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies by FicklePegasus on: March 26, 2008 04:56:57 PM
OK, not really for a shower or new baby (but could be adapted to it, I think)  My husband and I having been trying to get pregnant for awhile now and I've been obsessed with making origami stars.  So I combined them into this-

We bought 6 sheets of 12x12 scrapbook paper, cut it into strips and wrote the baby names we picked on the plain side.  After putting them in a glass bowl, I tied a cute bow around it.  We had fun making them and it's a cute decoration.

This could be a good thing to do for a baby shower (if the parents don't have the names picked out).  Have everyone write down a name and put it in a jar.  Also could be used for Wedding wishes for the new couple.

I learned how to make the stars from this site http://www.tcpnow.com/activities/drstarorigami.html and was inspired to write our wishes on the stars.

I received from Kimby. yesterday!

Everything together

The box it came in (covered in vintage kimono fabrics.  She wrote a note explaining it on the bottom of the box, but I forgot to take a pic.  I can post it later, when I find the camera again)  A new craft for her, and it's SPARKLY! This is my favorite thing  Grin

Postcards, Lake Tahoe card, Nevada facts and calendar, map of one of her fav places

Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy books, pens (she covered w/origami paper), neat stationary, toob of DRAGONS, stamp (moon and stars), quilting magazine (she noted the easy one for me to try), Calvin and Hobbes comic book, CHOCOLATE! (2 didn't make it to the photo shoot, hubby and I had to try them out.  YUMMY!)

It is all AWSOME!  I hope Kimby. is as impressed with what I'm sending her as I am of hers. I'm out the door to send yours out right now!  Thanks, Kimby.!
