I saw those in BHG too! I so wanted to make them, but they looked really time consuming. Yours are absolutely beautiful... I applaud your patience and creativity!

4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Need ideas for creatively giving gift cards on: December 11, 2007 10:34:35 PM
OK. So my in-laws are IMPOSSIBLY hard to buy for. We have resigned ourselves to the fact that the only gifts that even begin to please them are gift cards. As much as it pains me to do the same gifts year after year, I know it makes them happy. So I'm in need of some ideas to at least creatively package the cards. Last year I bought a little 12" tree and made paper ornaments that held each card. We then decorated the tree with the "ornaments" and it looked so cute (I really wish I had taken pictures!).

Any ideas? I figure if I can't wow them with a thoughtful gift, at least the presentation could be creative!

I love it! It takes a really creative mind to use all of those "non-traditional" Christmas colors and not have it look silly. You did a wonderful job!

OK, so this is my first post, so bear with me. These are some shoes I painted a while back. Very simple, but I love them!
