Oh my god that is awesome. What made you think to make those? They're hilarious.
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Vintage Shirt Dress (WIP) on: January 06, 2008 07:37:29 AM
I hear you...having a waist seems to be out of fashion at the moment. What's an hourglass girl to do? Just look like a fat sack and not show off her curves? Good for you and cute dress! I'd love to see the finished piece.
3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Page-lining - an easy way out? on: December 10, 2007 04:48:28 PM
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for adding lines to blank pages in a journal; maybe a stamp or a stencil (though a stencil would take forever in a large journal!) I could make my own stamp, but that seems like a lot of effort if such a thing already exists. Any advice on the subject would be much appreciated (and my apologies if this question has been posted before, I did look around.)

"How much longer till Santa gets here?"

"I knew we should have bought Virgin Eggnog."

I loved that shopping online/mall suggestion! too cute (as are your dogs!)

I loved that boxy cardigan the first time I saw it and I think you've just made me put it on my to-knit list! Great pieces!
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: any ideas of where to find great cables? on: November 15, 2007 09:33:46 AM
http://www.knittingpatterncentral.com/directory/stitches.php

Not the greatest site to search through, but their collection of stiches and actual patterns is surprisingly thorough.

I would, however, really second the reco on the Stitchionary...the patterns are charted and written for easy use and also easy modification to make the cables more your own.

I've got to say I'm with you, CraftyHands...this is the first time since I started knitting that I haven't fallen in love with at least a few patterns in the magazine. These were all just kind of "meh" to me. Something I'd buy but not bother to make.

Oh well, maybe next issue!

There's nothing like a comfy, well fitted pullover - keep making them as long as you keep wearing them!

Thank you!

So cool! I used to live in St. Augustine (US's oldest city) and we have a ton of reenactors there of all sorts...I wonder how many have such nice homemade items!
