1  Bohemian Slouchy Hat with Brim in Crochet: Completed Projects by AprilDraven on: March 01, 2014 07:39:23 AM
I just wanted to share this with you. I wanted a hat I could wear that would look nice inside. I live in Michigan and we have been hit with a lot of snow and negative temperatures. I don't always have time to do my hair so it is nice to just put a hat on and not get weird looks for not taking it off inside  Wink What do you think?

3  Coffee Fairy Hat in Crochet: Completed Projects by AprilDraven on: January 31, 2014 02:07:32 PM
I know it has been a long time since I posted anything. I just wanted to share my newest creation with you  Grin

The Coffee Fairy Hat. Yah I know it is a weird name, but hey I was tired and wanted coffee Cheesy

I also made some "How to Crochet" videos. I know if you are here then you probably already know how to crochet, but you might have some friends who want to learn Wink I started making the videos for my daughter, that way she can keep watching the parts she doesn't get. It seemed like a good idea. http://www.youtube.com/user/aprildraven/videos

I was wearing a skirt the other day and I really wanted pockets. I love Doctor Who so I came up with this. The pattern is free on my blog. I would post it here but I am lazy. Sorry.

6  Quick and Chunky Slouchy Hat in Crochet: Completed Projects by AprilDraven on: November 11, 2012 10:07:34 AM
I wanted to make a hat that was thick because it is getting cold. I was surprised at how fast I completed this. It only took me a few hours. This hat is made holding two pieces of yarn together. I thought it might turn out too heavy but I took a chance. I like how it turned out. My daughter did too so it now belongs to her lol

7  Elven Ranger Hood in Crochet: Completed Projects by AprilDraven on: October 23, 2012 03:05:35 PM
I made this because I received quite a few requests for a hat like this. A few people wanted my dark wizard hood but they wanted it with a long tail and couldn't figure out how to make it. So here it is Smiley My awesome friend Aaron did a great job modeling for me. You might recognize him from the Super Long Goth Hat pattern. We had a lot of fun Wink He actually inspired the name a little bit. The Axe he is holding is a Lord of the Rings replica. The long tail of the hat made me think of Legolas and the hood made me think of Aragorn. So combine the two and this is what I got lol.

8  Woodland Top Hat in Crochet: Completed Projects by AprilDraven on: March 10, 2012 01:08:00 PM
With all of this snow I have been thinking of Spring. How fun it will be to go hiking in the woods  Wink I wanted to make a hat that I could wear to keep the flies off my head and the sun out of my eyes. This is the design I came up with. Oh and I am excited I finally get to use my "man" mannequin head. Unfortunately, I can only take side view pictures of him because whoever painted his eyes made him look like he had a lazy eye and he looks horrible. Oh well. It still works lol  Grin What do you think?

9  Zipper Pony (Pony with a Zipper Pocket) in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by AprilDraven on: February 07, 2012 05:58:29 PM
I made this for my Daughter as a Yule gift. She has been begging me for an Orange Pony for years now. I was trying to think of a new pattern, since I already have a few pony patterns, and then the idea to put a pocket in it came to my mind. It is a little girl's dream come true. A pony with a pocket to stash stuff. There are so many things she can put in it. Money, candy storage, treasures, rice pack, herbal sachets. jewelery, ect... the list goes on and on. She loves it. I was thinking about making one for me too hehe. What do you think?

10  Simply Sweet Scarf in Crochet: Completed Projects by AprilDraven on: December 07, 2011 11:21:07 AM
I really love this scarf. It is quick and it is just a huge circle.  It is super comfortable and doesn't have those long tails to worry about. (I didn't come up with the idea for a circle scarf. I have seen them before in the store. This is just my version of it) I am going to make one for my daughter next. Last year one of the kids at school pulled on the tails of my daughter's scarf and it choked her. Now she is afraid to wear scarfs. This way she won't have to worry about that, hopefully. I modeled it a few different ways so you could see how awesome it is. (I really hate modeling but I didn't have anyone else around to con into being my model and my mannequin head doesn't have shoulders Sad ) What do you think?

Wrapped around 3 times

Wrapped around 2 times

Wrapped around 2 times and cinched up close to neck

Wrapped around 2 times a little looser

Fold in half and slide in loop (I hope that makes sense)

Here is the pattern:

Simply Sweet Scarf

K hook

4.5 oz. Simply Soft Yarn

This scarf measures about 80 inches around. If you dont know how to work in rounds you can always skip the joining part and just sew it together when it is done. You wrap it around a couple times so you could hide the seam easily Wink
