2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / graduation pillow on: August 24, 2004 12:05:37 PM
I am working on a graduation pillow for my sister-in-law that I thought some of you may be interested in. It's almost finished and I'll post pics when I'm done. Anyway, it's the same idea as a ring pillow, but I put her name and school and class of 04, etc. I used her school colors, which are white and maroon. The pillow in a white satin and embroidered the rest in maroon, and topped it off with maroon tassles. My only dilemma is whether or not to add another layer of (small) lace, if so, maroon or white? (add it in front of the other lace already attached, to "finish" it.)
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / what do do with jeans? on: August 20, 2004 01:57:38 PM

5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / window covering on: August 18, 2004 06:19:15 AM
I need some ideas for a window treatment for a window with a round top. I have curtains that I could use for the bottom half but really need something for the tops. The sun comes in really bright in the afternoons on that side of the house. I haven't seen anything like rounded top blinds or shades or anything. Any ideas would be very helpful! Thanks!
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / my new bedroom on: August 17, 2004 06:21:21 AM
My family of four is moving into my mom's house (she's moving to my stepfather's late mother's house) and I want to do something to my new bedroom without changing a whole lot. The walls are a very light pink.. almost off-white, with the bottom half wood.. with wood floors. I have antique furniture also that was my great aunt's to go in there as well. I need some ideas for colors, I don't want anything too feminine, maybe light sage green or something. The windows have the roll down blind things that I am not too fond of and would like to either do curtains or something neat to the blind itself. That master bath is attached with no door, any ideas of what to put there instead of a door.. maybe a sheer curtain of some sort? I don't want to do anything too permanant, we are building our own home and will be doing the major stuff there when it is done. The look of the rest of the house is very homey.. not really country, but lots of wood. I don't want to go retro or too modern. Any ideas of how I could spruce things up around here?

7  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / racecar theme in boys bedroom on: August 16, 2004 06:32:43 AM
Hey everyone. I'm new to the site and my family is moving at the end of the month. I have a 4 year old little boy and a 1 year old girl. For my son's room, He wants a racecar bedroom and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on the paint. I have the bedding, curtains, etc. and was thinking of doing a road around the room also. I just need some color ideas for the paint. If you have any ideas or links for me, I thank you in advance.
