I made a muno for a little girl who is turning 4 this weekend! I made the eye a crocheted round starting with black and then turning white. It looks awesome! I did have to modify the arms a little, for some reason they turned out super skinny, so I just added a few stitches here and there. I sure hope she likes it, but then how couldn't she, this pattern rocks! I'll post a pick tomorrow, it is midnight and I am pooped! Thanks again for the pattern! Edited to add photo! Here is my version of Muno! Thanks for the pattern!

Blue's Clues Handy Dandy Notebook in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by multibeavo

So, we are stationed overseas in Okinawa (my husband is in the airforce). And they only play the old Blue's Clues episodes on our tv channels, you know the one's with Steve.... So my daughter LOVES it and I was trying to find her a handy dandy notebook. My son had one when he was younger, it is an exact replica of Steve's and you can write your clue's in it. Anyway, they don't make the old ones anymore, they only make the new ones with Joe. And if you find an older one it will cost $20 or more, just for one little plastic toy! I am NOT paying that much for a plactic notebook the size of an assignment pad. So I set out to create one for her. I sewed green fabric with batting in between to create the notebook. I used fusible web to iron on a flannel red thinking chair and then outlined the chair in black paint. I made a pocket in the notebook just big enough to hold the small pads of paper that I picked up at the 100 Yen store. And I also bought chunky crayons at the 100 Yen store and printed out the green striped paper and used a glue stick to glue it on. The paint was kind of watery and it made me mad cause it doesn't look perfect, but she won't notice, plus I can always make more!:) http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee274/multibeavo/IMG_4550.jpg[/IMG] Thanks for looking, let me know what you think!

My first purse with a zipper Awesome fabric in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by multibeavo

Okay, so I used this tutorial to make my purse. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=76577.0I was really bummed today cause my "precious" hello kitty purse had started to fall apart and I needed a new purse. Then I thought, I KNOW I can make one, (somehow). So I rifled through my messy messy closet of fabric and found this. I have been saving this fabric to use for something for ME. (I never make anything for me, so it has been in there awhile). And the tutorial was really helpful, this was first attempt at a zipper and this made it so easy. I am such nerd, I had no idea which was my zipper foot, so I had to look online and compare all of my "feet" until I found it! But I had fun making it and I can't wait until tomorrow so I can use it!!! Oh, and the zipper pull came from a Japanese vending (bubble) machine, my son didn't want it and it matched my fabric perfectly! Lucky 4 me! Let me know what you think! And thanks for looking!

Felty/Stuffy kitty goodness in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by multibeavo

So, I have seen so many cute and totally cool stuffy/felties on here and I was inspired! I made a weird kitty and a bikini wearing kitty. Both are felt and bikini kitty I had already decided needed a tattoo in her butt of a heart, so I had to work around that for the back of her bikini bottom, but I think it looks pretty cool! Let me know what you think. All pieces are hand stitched except the shape of the body, which I had inside out and then used my sewing machine. The last pic is all 5 of my creations, I finished them all at the same time, the ninja bunnies were from a previous post by toque, I just had to make some for my kids! Thanks for looking!
