1  Re: Lots of denim and zipper sliders in What the heck can I do with THIS? by Llola on: February 16, 2008 10:25:03 PM
I've made two of these quilts out of old jeans.  I used a cereal bowl as my template.   Grin

Here's one I made for my mom.  Grin

2  Re: Kleenex Cozies ***Tut added for 2 tone cozies pg 3*** in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Llola on: January 09, 2008 09:53:24 PM
I made a total of 23 kleenex cozies (here's a few) that I gave out, they were all a great hit (I don't even have one for myself!  Undecided).

Thanks for looking!
Judy

I love them!  I planned on doing the exact same thing, making a bunch and giving them as gifts, but I ran out of time.

There's always next year!

Great job!

I'm happy I could help.  Grin

5  Re: what kind of super magic is this sewing machine? in Quilting: Discussion and Questions by Llola on: November 26, 2007 10:22:48 AM
I have an old Bernina that I just got last week from my mother in law, I'm not sure if its good for quilting or not.

I have several Vikings and they can all do free motion quilting quite well.  I even quilted a king sized quilt on one of them.   I did this one about 12 years ago.

6  Re: Urban Chickens in Pet-Related Crafts: Discussion and Questions by Llola on: November 25, 2007 07:29:29 PM
I have a bunch of chickens and guinea hens.  Grin  I have two separate big coops with yards.  I also let my chickens free range and they always return to their coops at night, my guinea's do most of time.  Banti's aren't timid at all like some PP have suggested.  I really love my banti's they have great personalities.

I made these as a Christmas gift for my mom.  It's a folded star pattern.

I love the bag!  I also love working with recycled jeans.  Thanks for the idea!

Here's a quilt I made last year using the same method.  Grin  It's a really fun easy way to make a quilt but it does use a bunch of thread.
