1  My first Poppet!!! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by nixiefee on: August 08, 2009 05:54:06 PM
YAY!!!! My first poppet is done.  I started on her this morning and worked on her on and off throughout the day....!

Her name is Lilly and she is done in flannel, and her legs are kinda wonky...but it gives her personality.  I have microsuede to try with my next one...hopefully it will sew up nicer.  Learned lots of don't and do's while making Lilly.  The my daughters really like her...and I am going to make them some for Christmas.

Well, without further ado....here is Lilly...

Comments Appreciated.

Thanks

3  Re: in desperate need of a 2nd [or 3rd or 18th or 284th] opinion in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by nixiefee on: August 20, 2008 04:07:25 AM
I have added my notes to the following pictures.  Overall, you have a good thing going, just needs some tweaking.

Hope that helps, and I would love to see pictures when you are done.  Also, how doyou do a stand up collar like that?

4  My first quilt - lotsa pics in Quilting: Completed Projects by nixiefee on: August 08, 2008 06:19:26 PM
Hey all, this is my first project post on here.  I have been lurking for a while now, and have been inspired to start completing all the projects that have been on hold, as well as, starting new projects.  I have always LOVED to sew and have determined that I have to MAKE time for my love.  So without further ado...I give you my first project post here on Craftster.

This is a baby quilt I made tonight for my cousin-in-law's baby shower tomorrow.  She is having a little girl.  It is a quilt that I made out of 1 yard of each of the fabrics.  I used a soft fuzzy cotton type of fabric, and a slick poly/cotton gingham.  So, without further ado...here is the quilt.

- layed out with both sides showing together.

Hope you all like it.

Thanks
Nixie
