1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Dr. Fronz on: November 04, 2015 06:52:02 PM
Dr. Fronz is a fancy little man, fond of fine wines, artisan soups and bowties. He has no problem opening his mouth and demanding he receive the best.

About 6 1/2 inches tall, 7 inches wide. Smiley  Made with faux fur and felt.
2  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 110 ENTRIES / Bats! and Daria. on: November 04, 2015 06:33:22 PM
I don't think by any means my costume will win but I wanted to share it anyway!  I made two pairs of wings and two pairs of ears for me & my friends matching Halloween costumes.  The wings are basically just sleeves with wings attached, and I made the ears with felt and fleece and attached them to headbands. Cheesy

My friend was Penny Lane and I also added all the fur to her jacket. The perks of being the only friend who can sew.

I was also Daria at an earlier party.  I made the little Sick Sad World patch for my jacket. Smiley

3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Pumpkin Monstroctopi! Bats! Fluffy cats! on: September 30, 2015 02:31:12 PM
Combined three of my favorite things into one ridiculous creature.  Pumpkins, monsters, and octopi!

Also made some little bats out of felt and embroidery thread, in black and albino coloring!  Experimented with having them hang upside down or rightside up. Not sure which I like better.

But I do really like how they hang down from my toy shelf!

And I made a fluffy little black cat inspired by my friends cat Josie.  She's basically just a big black fluff ball with giant yellow eyes.

4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Next! On Sick, Sad World on: August 28, 2015 01:10:25 PM
Wasn't quite sure which topic to post this one in since it's technically appliqued, but since I used the embroidery hoop as a frame I thought this was the best one. Smiley

Made a Daria themed hoop for fun the other day!  Super happy with how it came out.  Done on a 5 inch embroidery hoop with all felt. Smiley

5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Cat insects! The Ladycat and Caterpillars on: August 25, 2015 07:43:11 PM
I love cats and I love bugs so one day I doodled a bunch of cat and bug hybrids and decided to make my favorite ones into the real thing!

The first one I made was inspired by the Parsleyworm!  Made with mostly fleece and felt, and little faux fur details.

And this one I was absolutely obsessed with the idea of little ladybug cats with tiny tails and multiple paws.  Made with mostly fleece.

And these I just finished last night, the Woolly Cat-erpillars!  Inspired by those fuzzy little striped caterpillars I'd find crawling around my backyard as a kid.  Mostly made of long pile faux fur with felt details. Smiley
