2  My Monster wanted to be stylish...SUCCESS!! in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by weeblesSPLAT on: January 03, 2010 04:53:10 PM
Hi all!
Ok so I found this tutorial
and I knew I had to make myself one because it was so dang cute!
(I did...here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=332871.0)

I made it out of fleece. I was babysitting my neighbor for a week (she has been dubbed my monster  Cheesy) and when we were out shopping for the fabric, she was all "but I want one too!!!" Ok fine...

I told her it was a fashion shoot, hence the posing  Wink

I threw a button on there to keep it from getting to wonky

C&C most appreciated!

3  You aren't plagerizing if you cite your sources... in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by weeblesSPLAT on: January 03, 2010 03:40:05 PM
ok so I have a girl-crush on Maegan from http://www.lovemaegan.com/

I love her style and everything. Legit.

ok so based on this
I made this

and this

I was babysitting and my monster wanted one too

it's quite durable

and from this http://www.lovemaegan.com/2009/10/faux-fur-neck-warmer-diy.html

I made this

it's massively warm

it's a smidge too big...
but I love it!

I made everything out of fleece instead of faux fur because I'm on a budget hahah. And with my monster's I threw a turquoise button on it because she's 8 and gets into shenanigans...you know how that goes

Everything is massively warm and I rock this stuff ALLLLLL the time.
I feel so empowered and sassy  Grin

Thank you Maegan!!

C&C appreciated!!

Ok...so I totally understood what Urban Threads was saying here...
...and I had got excited  Cheesy

Sooo I ran off to Walmart to buy fleece and whipped this monster up based on her tutorial.
(I made a collage!)

If you wanna see a few pictures on there own, click below

I made it out of 2 yards of peach fleece and 2 yards of black fleece, I didn't do the trim, it's reversible and top stitching was a b*tch.

Thanks so much Urban Threads!!!

C&C would be great!
(just be nice)

5  An essay about my room. READ IT!!!!!!!! (Picture EXTREME) in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by weeblesSPLAT on: November 25, 2009 06:30:22 PM
Greetings all!!
I thought since I *FINALLY* cleaned my room, I would share my spoils with you fine folk.
DISCLAIMERPlease pardon the gratuitous use of puns and lame jokes.
Oh and these pictures were taken with my lovely cell phone...don't have a dig-cam. Po' college student...

So when you roll up to my door, this is typically what you see

tis dark and dimly lit...
Ok fine, I'll turn on the lights...
Wait...is that your nightstand..?

Yes it is!! It's an old suitcase that I never use anymore and it fits all of my shenanigans perfectly next to my bed atop my most favoritest trunk  Grin

ahh the bed area. Complete with butterfly chair and the first of many pigs (I kind of collect them...it happens)

Close up, mags and pics and candles chill near me, I feel I need them within arms reach at all times.
"What's on my walls?" you might ask...well I'll show ya!

Piggies, 2 thrift store finds, more piggies, Salvadore Dali postcards in a frame and a butterfly. And of course my "Religious Views of Life" poster. It proclaims that "Sh*t happens". It's how I roll.
And my roommate

Mugzy, she's hilarious, she kinda runs my room...
Moving on...
My entertainment area

DVDs, candles, and a TV. That's all a girl needs. And pretty bottles of wine. But that goes without saying.  Cool
Continue around...

well my desk area at least. It feels important.

My faux wood desk is now white thanks to contact paper!!! It looks soooooo much better now. It's rather old. Either way I loves it. Plus I put some random lights around the perim. (<--perimeter. We abbreviate things in my room).

Since I've already mentioned it...my piggie collection!!! (Not in it's entirety, but a whole lotta bacon nonetheless)
Main Collection #1

But they pop up EVERYWHERE!!

Main Collection #2
Originally a calendar. The year ended but I loooove me some piggies!

(also my dresser, I have cute jars from WallyWorld and they hold my bracelets, rings, pins and other knick-knacky items. Rather legitski)

My roomie sleeps in her spot when she's not taking over my bed

She's next to my clothes and accessories and such

Ok I saved the best for last...

The most splendiferous shoe storage unit EVERRRRR
My mom's bf made it for me. My floor has never been so cleeeaaaan!!!! And Mugz doesn't eat my shoes. Good times had by all.
Ok pictures!

It holds almost all of my shoes, I have another shoe thingy in my closet.

In conclusion...
  • I like my room a whole bunches.
  • You should be thanking the circuit gods that you have high speed     internet if you made it this far.
  • I'm not quite done with everything yet, gotta paint the walls and cover a few boxes with sexy paper
  • Thanks for hanging in there with me!
  • If you took the time to peruse, please please PLEASE leave me some feedback!

You look great today!

7  2 Big t-shirts later...PLAYSUIT! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by weeblesSPLAT on: June 26, 2009 12:42:02 PM
Hi all!!!!

Ok so I'm a Zumba instructor and I love to rock my Zumba gear. Unfortunately, alot of it is ungodly expensive (well...not that bad, I'm just a broke college student...), so I took a large Zumba shirt I had lying around and a black t-shirt and came up with this...

Pictures featured in the collage, click on them to make them bigger:

I made a Zumba playsuit/romper! It's magnificently comfortable. I plan on wearing it tonight when I teach my class.

feedback always welcome (just be nice)

9  Cute floral clutch YAY!!!!! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by weeblesSPLAT on: December 14, 2007 07:55:56 PM
Hi there!
So I've been on a roll lately, I just got finished with the semester so I'm chilling until the end of January. Very exciting.
So what happened was...I made an adorable long floral print dress last year. I liked it but I chopped off the bottom to make it short. Loving it even more. So I finally figured out what to do with the excess...make a clutch!!!!!

Thar she bloooows!

So you can see how big it is

and of course, Mr. John Cena...

he watches over me

I made up the pattern as I went along, basically making the interior of the bag then folding and ruching the external fabric so it's nice and sexy. If you would like a tut...I could think of something...but only if someone wants it.

Peace, love and chicken grease!

10  Little Bag for my Monster in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by weeblesSPLAT on: December 13, 2007 04:53:36 PM
So I had this crazy fabric that I thought was really cute and since Christmas is coming up...I made and adorable little bag for a 6 year old girl that I nanny for.

Highly exciting...

I made it with some pleating, I think it came out looking very clean and cute...but that's just me hahahah

The inside has brown polka dots...so exciting!

And of course since John oversees everything that I do...
