1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: to knit or to crochet this bag says do both on: October 27, 2009 07:10:38 AM
As a knitter, you have created the bag of my dreams. It is unbelievable in terms of organization. You thought of EVERYTHING! You could sell these for big bucks, or minimally, you could sell a pattern. (If you decide to do so, put me on your list!)  It is perfection and beautiful as well.

Just . . . . WOW! And what a fun post. I'd love to see a photo of the inside.

Stunning, stunning, stunning, and your matching of the fabric warrants a fourth "stunning."

I bow to you too.
4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: hand made rugs LOTS of pics on: April 28, 2009 04:03:07 AM
Beautiful. I hope the rugs are preserved as the true heirlooms and works of art they are.

A woman in my town designs and hooks rugs in this traditional way. I admire the patience and the vision to make such beautiful, long-lasting pieces.

Thanks for sharing and best to your MIL.
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: I've been making necklaces! on: March 12, 2009 12:54:32 PM
They are beautiful. I bet they'd fly out of an etsy store. Perfect with a turtleneck or t-shirt . . .
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Granny blanket finally completed! on: February 25, 2009 11:25:20 AM
An heirloom, for sure. What are the dimensions of each square and how long did each take to crochet?

I cannot imagine a cooler, more meaningful present. You are a thoughtful daughter and a talented crocheter (if that's a word).
8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Granny Purse with Owl Lining (7pics) on: January 09, 2009 06:27:21 PM
Just beautiful! Enjoy it, and when people ask where you got it -- and they will -- proudly tell them, "I made it myself." This rocks.
9  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Christmas Biscotti on: December 21, 2008 10:22:44 AM
The biscotti sounds delicious!  The snow picture is beautiful!  I'm in Florida, with my a/c running and wearing shorts.  I'd love snow for one day, just one day.

The grass is always greener (or the snow is always whiter) on the other side. Everything is canceled and it takes 20 minutes to get dressed enough to take the dog out. Oh well, I'm happy that we have power. Some of our neighbors in NH are trying to survive this since being without power after an ice storm over a week ago!

Oh well, a Christmas cookie is a Christmas cookie in warmth or cold. Enjoy the cookies and the holidays.
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Asymmetric cabled neckwarmer (Tudora from Knitty). Hot necks coming through! on: December 21, 2008 09:38:05 AM
Awesome! I made two Tudoras in pink for Xmas gifts. The first happened election night and helped me stay awake for Obama's speech. Great job. The green with the large gold button is classic. I bet you get tons of compliments to go with your warm neck.
