Plastic canvas is thin flexable plastic grids, that you cut to desired shape. Then you sew on the grid, kind of like cross stich. Here's a link with more info:

DeStashing with kids, we made whirligigs and a windchime. We used all our bottle caps, and cleaned out a bunch of beads, in addition to the bottles and paint.

I'm waiting until tomorrow to start crafting. Tomorrow is my quit smoking date (again), wish me luck. Any way even though I don't smoke in my house or around my crafts, it will still help with any possable smell effects, and I know I'm going to need something to do with my hands.

I know I've seen this done before in retail, can't think of specific examples right now except for popples (stuffie that turned into a ball) maybe if you could find some of the retail ones they would give inspiration?
