I received my envelope of goodies from Half Pint!

Sorry the pictures are kinda blurry, not sure whats up with my camera. But anyway, I got some reflective fabric, ASL hands, a mini envelope full of sequins,  and some handmade made paper. I can tell she was checking out my wist too, because I love anything to do with cats and I got a bunch of cat stickers!

My favorites are the handmade resin buttons with 9 holes!!, the Celtic knot charms, and the rubber stamp, so they get another picture!

72  Pillow Makeover in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by ostera15 on: June 24, 2009 07:05:50 PM
I grabbed the pillows that my neighbor was throwing away.

But since I don't like bumpy fabric and the colors were a little to dark and busy for our livingroom, I borrowed a sewing machine. Now the last time I used a sewing machine was over 10 years ago, so I'm a little rusty, they came out pretty good. To cover the pillows I used old curtains that the cats had clawed holes in and some fabric scraps to cover the holes. The pictures make them look teal, but they are actually green.

73  Felt Food in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by ostera15 on: June 20, 2009 11:24:06 PM
Seeing everyone else's food on here inspired me to make some for a 2yr old family friend who has a birthday next week. The things I though would be the easiest were the biggest pain in the butt to make. Overall I'm happy with the results for a first time attempt.

The whole collection:

And another shot of the cake slice, because it's my favorite:

74  Mom's Birthday Presents in Completed Projects by ostera15 on: June 10, 2009 04:51:34 PM
Here are a few things I made for my mom for her birthday. Please be nice, since they were all my first attempt at each type of craft.

A Decoupage box covered in retro mom pictures. I don't know why the picture makes it look bubbled since its not. And yes I know I made the inside pictures face to different directions, I didn't realize it until it was to late to fix it.

Bottlecap Pincushions:

A Felt Needle Book I used the tute, from here: http://www.craftstylish.com/item/10227/how-to-stitch-up-a-felt-needle-book I made two copies of the larger piece of felt and stiched them together with a piece of lightweight cardboard inside to make it more sturdy. The flowers are fake flowers minus the plastic/wire parts.

Thanks for looking!

This is the collection of items I made my mom for her birthday. Since they are 95% from stash I thought I would share here.

I said I post WIP pics of the chair, so here is the first one. I got it taken apart and sanded down. Even put the first coat of paint on it.

Next is getting new screws, ect since they were all rusted and detail painting.

It's been a bad month for destashing. Been buying for specific projects. Here is the one small bottlecap pincushion I made all from stash. It even fits one of the months themes, since it's part of a b-day gift for my mom.

He even has a tail that you can't see. Not to bad for my first attempt!

79  Re: I <3 Coffee/Tea Round 6 GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by ostera15 on: May 20, 2009 07:07:44 PM
I recived my package today from A2k, and the first thing I did after taking one quick picture was brew a cup of coffee. It smells and tastes delish!

I got two packages of coffee, Michigan Maple & Mackinac Island Fudge, and one of tea, Mango Ceylon and a cute coffee mug filled with candies, chocolate and coffee my two loves!

And my crafted items that pay tribute to my love of cats; a bag and a change purse shaped like a mug.

And a close up of my fave quote/cat:

And the inside, with pockets that match the outside:
