Not exactly whimsical, but I was feeling like some ACDC this month. The Jeep hoop is for my hubby, he got a new Jeep and it's become his obsession.

Great hoop, even though I think those crackers are gross!

Finished my July hoop.

That is amazing Ludi! Jealous of your skills!

I finished my alteration too. Smallest hoop I have done so far.

The original fabric:

I added some green fabric for grass, turned the bee into a cloud, painted toenails, added some bead and french knot flowers, and googly eye. And of course my required song lyrics: One elephant went out to play.

So size comparison:

Love the happy infection!

I stitched up a quick hoop for May. Not exactly geeky, but I do love my coffee!

I finally got April's hoop done!

I picked out a really simple hoop for May, so hoping I'll be able to get it done in the next week.

My stitching is done. No hoop because it's on the way to our new house. Please excuse the cellphone quality pictures.

Finished my hoop last weekend but just now getting a chance to post it. I'm home sick for the next two days, so time to catch up on everything.

This month I dedicated to long distance love. I also tried a new stitch out; I think it makes it look more like rope.

Song lyrics by Avenged Sevenfold, pinup pattern by Sew Lovely Embroidery.

My hoop is finished. I decided that I am going to try to unite all the months themes by using song lyrics in each hoop. This month's lyrics are from the song To the Moon and Back by Savage Garden. "Somewhere in a private place she packs her bags for outer space".

I love the little houses!

I used cards from this year (and last year) to make some gift tags for next year.

10  Tis the season in Needlework: Discussion and Questions by ostera15 on: December 08, 2013 07:32:27 PM

For my entry I altered the original design to add a little fun into what I felt was a more traditional design. I made the top colorful and bright and kept with modest more traditional colors for the bottom. A mix of old and new. The two ornaments are crayon tinted.
