1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: "It's worse than we thought" - The Walking Dead cross stitch on: August 02, 2013 12:50:13 PM
Thank you everyone! Cheesy

This was the most popular thing that I have ever posted on spritestitch.com.
Really? Cool! Smiley

This is beyond awesome sauce! I'm curious...what count fabric did you use?
It's 18 stitches/inch.

Thank you!

Did you make the pattern?
I used the picture in the comic and then just modified the colours a bit and changed the resolution to make it the right size. I don't know if that counts as making a pattern... Smiley 1 pixel = 1 stitch.
3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / "It's worse than we thought" - The Walking Dead cross stitch on: June 09, 2013 11:24:40 AM
I finally finished my huge The Walking Dead cross stitch! The image is from a page in the first album of the comic. It took about a year and a half and it's approximately 70 x 100 cm.

A larger image can be seen here.

And here's a close-up of the only two living people in the picture: Smiley

A lace shawl I made for my mom for her birthday:

It's made in Drop's Alpaca and the pattern is Cyrcus Rectangular Lace Shawl.

Thank you! Smiley

I'm still working on my zombies... But I've reached the top part of the picture, so I'm beginning to see the end of it! Smiley

7  FIBER ARTS / Weaving: Completed Projects / Dish towels on: December 12, 2012 01:29:12 PM
A couple of dish towels I made at my hand weaving course. They took a LOT longer than I expected but I'm really happy with the end result, and I learned a lot while working on them. Smiley They're made in 2-2-twill with cotton warp and linen weft.

8  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Stitchalongs / Re: Big Project Stitch A-long 2012 on: September 16, 2012 10:45:29 AM
Most of the black is done on my zombie cross stitch. When I started I thought I would be done by new year. When I see the progress this far, that doesn't feel too unrealistic.

ETA: And I finally reached the only two living people in the picture! Smiley

it really looks like a delicate pencil drawing. Will the entire fabric be filled eventually?

Thank you! I won't stitch the white parts and the picture gets brighter the further up it goes, but apart from that, that's the idea. Smiley
