1  Cross-stitched Groke in Needlework: Completed Projects by Cross stitch ninja on: February 14, 2016 02:41:16 AM
I've always loved Tove Jansson's writing, so I wanted to make a cross stitch of a drawing from one of her books. I ended up with the Groke, which I think is one of the most interesting characters of the Moominverse.

And a couple of close-ups:

I haven't posted here on Crafster in a while, but no better time than new year's to get started again, right? Smiley

Lately I've been working on a Welcome to Night Vale cross stitch, and it's coming along nicely:

5  "It's worse than we thought" - The Walking Dead cross stitch in Needlework: Completed Projects by Cross stitch ninja on: June 09, 2013 11:24:40 AM
I finally finished my huge The Walking Dead cross stitch! The image is from a page in the first album of the comic. It took about a year and a half and it's approximately 70 x 100 cm.

A larger image can be seen here.

And here's a close-up of the only two living people in the picture: Smiley

I'm still working on my zombies... But I've reached the top part of the picture, so I'm beginning to see the end of it! Smiley

8  Dish towels in Weaving: Completed Projects by Cross stitch ninja on: December 12, 2012 01:29:12 PM
A couple of dish towels I made at my hand weaving course. They took a LOT longer than I expected but I'm really happy with the end result, and I learned a lot while working on them. Smiley They're made in 2-2-twill with cotton warp and linen weft.

9  Re: Big Project Stitch A-long 2012 in Needlework: Stitchalongs by Cross stitch ninja on: September 16, 2012 10:45:29 AM
Most of the black is done on my zombie cross stitch. When I started I thought I would be done by new year. When I see the progress this far, that doesn't feel too unrealistic.

ETA: And I finally reached the only two living people in the picture! Smiley
