So I received an awesome package from my partner JadedJenn. There are some things i didnt get pictures of, though..opps!

i love the feltied and TARPANDA ahhhhH!!! i wasnt sure if the book or earrings were crafted, but thy could have been so i put them here. thanks so much Jenn, you were an excellent partner! i loved everythign!!!

So my partner craftycooky has officially flaked. We were giving her until Friday to respond...and have gotten not a word back.
So here is the stuff that I sent her. I wasnt trying to take the best pictures of this stuff because I figured she would lovingly try to capture them at their best.

My favorite thing, an invader Zim scarflette. those two little nubs on the left side are matching bead buttons to hold it in place. On the reverse side of those Zim eyes are little loops to hold it in place. Its hard to see but there is also a cable running the entire length of this scarf.
(wow i just clicked something on accident and was like "oh noo all my writing!!" and clicked back and it was stillll here!! )


An Ickis pouch made from vinal. This one was really tricky. His ears hold it closed in the back and there is a nifty lining inside that you cant see  . This is my first real pouch from vinal and ive learned that its best NOT to try and hand sew, haha.

Craftycooky said she really wanted some jewelry. Here is a necklace with Spunky and his love-broom, a bracelet with daggit and another with norbert.






I also included a pack of Ahh! Real Monsters trading cards and a set of mix and match real mosters body parts that were going to be magnets but that didnt work out, I thought maybe she could find something to use them for.

Im still kind of bummed that she flaked. Ive been checking the mail like crazy every day for three weeks thinking that maybe today will be the day I find out she really did send.

H is for Hyacinth. I love that tiny dragonfly in the corner. Also, paper quilling(?) is really neat.

Since DangitJess already posted pictures, i will just put a few up.
But first, I want to make it very clear that my partner did not flake, so dont hold that against her. I didn't want to be rude or mean about it which is why nothing was really said. But to say the least, I felt very let down about the quality of what I received. After talking to meganlorraine about it, she recommended using an angel, so thats what we did!

Everything was especially nice, I have so many ideas already for everything that she sent.
These were my favorite big pieces. The leaf is huge and sooo gorgeous! And I love the "y", yellie is my nickname that everyone uses!!

Those purple ones at the bottom are wood I think, they feel really cool. On the top left they have all sorts of patterns on them.

I think that all the ones except the left side are mixed glass beads. Then some cutie buttons and charms


I really loved everything!! I hope no one is bothered that we did this. Thanks so much meganlorraine and dangitjess!!!

Does anyone have ideas of what to do with all those earrings?

This necklace is number two in a limited set of neo-victorians that I am doing. I used Swarovski crystals, freshwater pearls, a vintage heart and cabochon, sterling findings and chain, and love!!
I am really into assymetrical necklaces right now..the first was blue, this one purple, next to come...green!!

If you saw the first one, you'll notice I took your guys' advice and went with purple swarovskis rather than black and clears.

So, I finally uploaded the pics from my box sent by MandyLikesPie! I was definately surprised with how much yarn she was able to cram in there (she somehow vacum-ziploced it). She also sent some super fabrics, which is great because I am just now really getting into sewing!

The fabrics. I especially like the little owl scrap that you can see peeking out. And the white polka dot, it sooo strechy, perfect for a someday-waistband!


The yarn. My favorites are that blueish one towards the bottom middle, she said it was from YarnBee, which leads me to believe that it was handspun/colored!! And the brown merino llama towards the left, i've never worked with that before.


Heres a photo of everything together. In the back you can see a bag she filled with beads, confetti, barrett blanks, and some VERY adhesive glue.!

Asymetrical neo-victorian necklace!! I made this necklace from heaps of sterling chain, freshwater pearls, swarovski crystals, and a vintage cabochon from an old bracelet.
This piece, for me, was very experimental as I rarely work with chain and have never done a design like this. Considering all that, I think it came out really nicely.

I was partially inspired by the steampunk swap that is currently going on. It was my introduction to neo-victorianism. By the way, do you all think that this piece falls under that category??
