1  Always Autumn Around in Crochet: Completed Projects by SeaSun on: December 12, 2009 06:33:30 PM
Hi everyone. Still not finished with my project (missing one piece) but couldn't wait to post it up.

I saw some autumn leaf and thought to myself they are just like little granny squares. So with that in mind I decided to make a scarflet for this winter. So I crocheted my little life away making leafs. Didn't really have a pattern as to how to sew them on or how long to make it I just knew I wanted it to be a scarflet. As I was sewing them on I realized it was missing something so I went and made some flowers.

When I was finished I had made 38"x5" scarflet. When I was done I thought I need a cap as well. The cap pattern I found was very easy to make and added two extra leafs.

As you can see I was able to even find a leaf button to go with the theme. Smiley

My model is very shy, didn't want me to post her face up.

After all was done and I went out into the world with my new creations my aunts kept on hinting they would love one. They even stripped it off me to show me how nice it would look on them. Let me know what you think. My work in progress now are some fingerless gloves. That's why I said it wasnt' finished. Hope I finish before it get too cold. Smiley

Thanks for reading, commenting and if you press the "This Rocks" button thanks also Cheesy. You rock also!

If I were to sell the scarflet how much do you think would be a fair price for it $25???

2  Re: I need help with a pattern, please. in Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions by SeaSun on: May 22, 2009 07:51:00 AM
So after looking at the dress it looks the back and front are the same cut, just that the front is cut longer on the sides then the back. The back should end where the side seam is.

Let me know if I didn't make sense so it can explain it better, I was pressed for time. Hope this helps.

Well I know it has been awhile but thought I would show you the coat. I only have the back, sorry for that. I'll see about getting pictures of the side and front.

4  (Baby Coats) Firefighter Bunker Coat and Autobots Jacket in Crochet: Completed Projects by SeaSun on: January 24, 2009 10:28:20 AM
I just finished these 2 baby coats. They are a very modified version of "Baby It's Cold Outside" http://crochetme.com/patterns/baby-its-cold-outside.
The firefighter bunker coat took me a loooong while, so long in fact at when I did finish it my son was to old to wear it so I put it on my nephew so he could model it for you.  The transformer autobot was for my nephew since his baby blanket that my mom made for him was transformers theme. My brother wanted a hoodie on it, so that took me awhile to find a pattern. I got so tired of looking that I just made my own.

Let me know what you think. Comment would be great. Thanks for looking!  Grin

5  Out Shine The Bride?? in Dessert by SeaSun on: September 18, 2008 01:13:25 PM
So my mom and I made these cakes for my brothers wedding. We made both the bride and grooms cake.  We felt these were our best wedding cakes yet.  The only thing is some felt we out shined the brides cake with the grooms cake. What do you think?

Together

The grooms cake is a quadruple chocolate cake with a strawberry filling and covered with chocolate buttercream. It's decorated with chocolate buttercream and chocolate chips, strawberries on the top and chocolate curls with chocolate syrup dripping down.

The brides cake was a basic butter yellow cake with a buttercream filling and covered with buttercream. It's decorated with buttercream piping painted with edible gold paint.

I would love to hear what you think. Was the bride out shined? Which you like?  Oh! and this is what the bride and groom asked for.  They eached picked out their own cake.  And I know if that's what they wanted who cares about anybody else.  But I would love to hear what you think about it.

Thanks for looking!  Grin

6  Fully edible princesses (heavy pics) in Dessert by SeaSun on: June 09, 2008 07:11:51 PM
Well, this was a fun cake to make for my cousins daughter kinder graduation party. The theme was princess.  My mom and I wanted something special for her so we made 11 individual princesses 2 of each color and 1 pink for her. It was a big hit.  What do you think? We also had a castle because 11 princesses will not feed the crowd they were more for 1 person to eat her.  I'll see if I can find the picture.

Close up of the hand painted face.  (Hope this is a better picture if not I'll find a better pic.... let me know)

All dressed up and ready to party. (Solo shot)

The gang is all here lets dance.  (Group shot)

8  Transformers .... robots in disguise (DONE WITH NO PATTERN) Baby Blanket in Crochet: Completed Projects by SeaSun on: May 28, 2008 11:02:41 AM
Fresh off the crochet hook my nephews baby blanket.  Don't think I made this... no way I could do something like this.  This was done my mom so I'm posting this in her behalf. It's done with 8 colors and NO PATTERN, just a pic off the Lil'Formers website http://www.lilformers.com/.  My brother wanted transformers but wanted baby cute. So wala Lil'Formers.

So here it is my nephews Evan Ray's baby blanket.

Just the image

10  Baby Bear Theme Baby Shower Cake in Dessert by SeaSun on: May 07, 2008 08:27:21 PM
Hi everyone! My mom and I made this cake for my sister-in-laws baby shower.  She had a bear theme and she wanted it out of fondant like here bridal shower cake http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=212980.msg2287591#msg2287591.
This was our second time using fondant .... I think.  It was a big hit in taste and the little bear.

The little bear is made out of the mini bear mold and it's eyes, paws, ears, belly and pacifier are made out fondant. The heart is a cookie

We used that pearl powder to give a little sparkle.

I feel it didn't come out as nice as the 1st one but the bear was the best part of this cake. Oh! the fondant is made from scratch.

So what do you think? Let us know. Smiley  Thanks for looking
