1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Recycled Tablecloth to Fancy retro Tea towels! on: March 10, 2008 05:42:58 PM
I have a "thing" for tea towels, but the cute ones are soooo expensive.  So I purchased some fun retro fabrics to make some with.  The white towel is made from a nice linen tablecloth I purchased from a local thrift store.  Have quite a few more to make, but was too excited and decided to post the pictures from the first set!

2  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Bandana for my dog (and his friends too)! on: March 09, 2008 10:45:41 AM
Because he's on the small side, a 1/4 metre gives me 4 bandanas!  I have a little tube on the top, so I can slide them right over his collar.

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Fake Isle Hat on: October 20, 2007 11:55:44 AM
Yup I jumped on the bandwagon as well.  This is a Christmas present for my boss.  I used Patons SWS and a cream alpaca.

I used Magknits pattern, at http://www.magknits.com/Nov06/patterns/fakeisle.htm
8  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / First Spinning Post on: October 07, 2007 09:57:28 AM
I've been spinning for a couple of years, and lurking here almost as long.  Thought I'd post something.

Here's a skein of emerald green wool I spun from 2 pounds of roving my hubby bought for me for my last birthday (He is an awesome husband!).  It's not super exciting, but a nice bouncy yarn that will knit into nice cables I think!

Thanks for looking!

Here are the Christmas presents I knit for my niece and nephew.  They are a silk wool blend that I received as a present from a friend.  Patterns are found at knittingpatterncentral.com.
