My mom LOVES to make things with clay pots and I seem to have inherited what my sisters and I have come to call "clay pot craft disease."  Last year I made flower shaped cookies on a stick that I "planted" in a clay pot (with styrofoam in the bottom), put the pot in a clear gift bag and filled it with caramel puffcorn for "dirt."  I needed to think of a way to top it this year and came up with this brilliant (I think) idea!

I made a snowman out of a clay pot, styrofoam ball, a piece of felt, a baby sock and some puff paint.  Then I painted a clay saucer, put a styrofoam disk in the bottom and glued some quilt batting to the styrofoam disk for "snow."  When it was all done, I planted some tree shaped cookies on sticks for the snowman's forest.  I love the way it turned out!  Any thoughts or questions are welcome!

My husband and I wanted to do something for his supervisor's daughters for Christmas, so we decided to make them their own stationery.  Her younger daughter is into ANYTHING fancy and girly and sparkly.  We decided to go with a simple design and then embellish it with some rhinestone stickers for a fancy, multi-media project. We used the Yudu screenprinter and a 220 screen with speedball ink to complete the project. Thoughts or questions welcome!

My husband and I wanted to do something for his supervisor's daughters for Christmas, so we decided to make them their own stationery.  Her older daughter is into skulls.  Specifically, the ones with the bows on them.  We decided that pairing it with an argyle pattern would be an interesting look and this is what we came up with! We used the Yudu screenprinter and 2 220 screens with speedball ink to complete the project. Thoughts or questions welcome!

My sister and her boyfriend are starting their own catering company and for Christmas we are making them a set of thank you cards that they can send out to their clients after an event.  For the cards, we used metallic card stock and then printed a background layer to look like sprinkles (a lighter brown color on the brown cards and a darker blue on the blue cards), after the sprinkles we printed the outline layer for the words "thank you" (magenta on the brown cards and chocolate brown on the blue cards) and then finally we printed the words "thank you" in white on both cards.  We also screened a white area on the back of both cards and used the ink jet printer to print her company logo on the back of the cards.

My sister-in-law does beaded jewelry and recently started selling her pieces.  We thought that a nice Christmas gift would be to make a company logo for her and then some tags for her to put on her products.  We screenprinted the logo and purple backs using the 220 screen and Yudu screen printer, then ran the sheet through our inkjet printer for the text on the side.  We think they turned out pretty well!  Any thoughts or tips are welcome!

My husband has wanted to screen print ever since he took a class in it in college.  After agreeing to do a friend's wedding invites, we splurged and bought a YuDu screen printer.  We took it for a spin and made birthday party invitations as our first "official" project.  

We burned 2 screens, one for the white ink layer and a second for the pink ink layer.  The faces at the bottom of the invitations were printed on cardstock and then attached with scrapbooking 3-D pop dots to make them stand out.  Let me know what you think!
