Sorry for the multiple new topics, I've finally got a day at home with a few hours to kill so I'm taking advantage
I've been doing scratchboards since I found out about it in Illustration and Design in collage. So... about 10 years now. I'm a tattoo artist and I specialize in realism and I have to say, next to skin, scratchboards are by far my favourite medium! So here's some examples of my works.
And for anyone who's not familiar with what a scratchboard is, it's a wooden board with a layer of white clay under a layer of black ink and you simple etch or rub off the black to expose the white underneath. It is an extremely precise and fun medium to work with, the level of detail you can get out of it is pretty amazing sometimes
ok, 'nough said, here goes!
