1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Vintage Halloween ATC's on: November 07, 2008 06:43:40 PM
It took forever and a day for all my cards to get to their destination but they have so I can finally post scans of them!
Done for the vintage halloween swap and these were my first ATC cards, which I'm completely hooke on now.  Smiley

2  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Halloween Collage on: October 13, 2008 08:54:24 AM
Mixed media collage using beeswax.  It's actually more Samhain themed then Halloween as my partner was wiccan.  The saying on it translates to Festival of the Dead.

Sorry for the multiple new topics, I've finally got a day at home with a few hours to kill so I'm taking advantage.  Wink
Here's some of the Animals and Floral pieces I've done.

I've been doing scratchboards since I found out about it in Illustration and Design in collage.  So... about 10 years now.  I'm a tattoo artist and I specialize in realism and I have to say, next to skin, scratchboards are by far my favourite medium!  So here's some examples of my works.

And for anyone who's not familiar with what a scratchboard is, it's a wooden board with a layer of white clay under a layer of black ink and you simple etch or rub off the black to expose the white underneath.  It is an extremely precise and fun medium to work with, the level of detail you can get out of it is pretty amazing sometimes Smiley

6  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Zombie Pin Up on: October 13, 2008 08:01:59 AM
Well, in the spirit of Halloween I figured it was as good a time as any to post this.  It was part of the Zombie swap from a few months back.
I'm a tattoo artist and my partner was a collector, so I drew her a future tattoo!
It's pencil crayons on tracing paper, with distressing ink around the edges for a bloody effect.
