11  Re: My rings! in Beads: Completed Projects by RoxNGemz on: October 18, 2007 07:00:04 PM
I have made something similar, but I made mine into a pendant.
... A star with only 5 points forms in the center of mine.

Here's the pattern for my version ( Bead-azzling Beaded Pendant Instructions ) , which I think is very similar to what NakedMoon has created!

Very Fun!

12  Resin Pendants *Updated - using pigments* in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by RoxNGemz on: October 17, 2007 07:23:55 PM
These are some pictures of my latest resin pendant:

I call this one Kryptonite:

I still need to add a loop to make it an offical pendant, but I think I might wait till I get my new Dremel to drill a hole in it instead  Wink

UPDATE:
My latest resin attempts created these:

playing with pigments

Pigment, stickers and beads

What do you think?

14  Re: barbie accessories into jewlery in Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions by RoxNGemz on: October 15, 2007 04:20:19 PM
I think you are looking for a screw eyelet:

Look for these in the framing section of Michaels or Walmart.  They should have small enough ones for using on the barbie parts.

You probably don't need to drill a hole first either, just put the screw where you want it, and start turning it!  You could use glue... Probably just a dab of crazy glue would do!

16  Re: how to make extra-full beaded bracelets? in Beads: Discussion and Questions by RoxNGemz on: October 08, 2007 09:19:31 AM

Here's a link for a necklace that's "full" and it looks like they have about 7 to 8 dangles per loop of chain!  (Almost 4 times as many beads as you've got on your bracelet!)
Just keep beading!!!  Smiley  You'll get there!

17  Re: Stupid Resin in Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions by RoxNGemz on: October 07, 2007 10:33:01 PM

I'm having some issues, but most of my problems have been explained after, over a few days' time, I've read up to page 32 on the resin thread. Still not so sure how to attach jewelry findings to the pieces, but I'm sure I'll figure it out.

I have used a small screw with a loop head, it worked fantasticly!

You could also glue a loop to the back of the piece... the screw is easier then drilling a hole through it, I think!  Smiley

18  Re: My Beaded Wedding Bouquet..... in Beads: Completed Projects by RoxNGemz on: October 07, 2007 06:17:28 PM
I think your beaded roses are amazing!

A few years ago, I helped my best friend make beaded bouquets for her wedding too... but they were of the crystal variety.
Here's a pic:

I also made her necklace and earrings Smiley  She looked fantastic!

Bluparkart, thanks for the tips!  I am new to the resin thing also, so any tips are great!

I have also embedded some objects... look at my first attempts

Unfortunately, mine are just clear, I didn't know how to incorporate the dye yet... But thanks to you, now I do!! Smiley

20  Re: RESIN in Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions by RoxNGemz on: October 07, 2007 10:37:44 AM
My resin is completely set now... have a look at my pendants (well, soon to be pendants!):

Remember this is only my first attempt at this.. but I think they are turning out pretty good!  Cheesy

Now I just need to sand these, and add a loop.  I'm thinking of getting those loops that you can screw in.  Advice?
