This one I did for the ATC - Lust swap over at Craftster so I don't think it will be a problem posting this here though I have not sent it yet. This is my first time trying embossing and I like the effect it gives. It also took me awhile to find the image I had in mind. I had to search using 'embrace' as the word. 'Lust' just gave me a bunch of porn pics T_T hahaha
Just want to know what people think of this one. I have more items to use for my ATCs so they are not so plain anymore.
Here are some of the paper beads I've made so far. Each color uses one page of the origami paper to make 12 beads. I will probably use the rest of this pack to make beads with and save my better paper for the decoupage stuff I have in mind.
Sure enough, my package was here. Thanks SilverWing! Everything fits pretty much but I can't close the grey pants. I'll just have to make sure he wears a long shirt with them to hide that, but they fit otherwise. Ace is happy to be able to wear clothes that aren't huge on him!
The hat, top and one of the pairs of pants.
And showing the rest. There is the hat, shirt and three pants and a pair of shorts in all. Thanks again and again!
Here are just a couple things I made this weekend. The bracelet is the first thing I've done so far with chainmail. I made all of the rings by hand on Thursday and put the bracelet together yesterday before I rushed off to a picnic. The pendant was from an old necklace that I've kept and knew I'd do something with it someday.
The charms are decoupaged Shrinky Dinks. I got the idea from this thread and wanted to try it out myself. I had actually been trying to think of what to do, so it kick started my brain. I used origami paper on the and think it looks nice. The paper on the heart is more like fabric and I can't remember what type it is. Pretty though.
So on Thursday I had no work due to Wednesdays storm knocking out the power. I spent the afternoon making jump rings out of wire I had bought for the purpose of making chainmail jewelry. On Friday I could not move my hand at all due to the carpletunel kicking in from all the cutting of wire the day before. I was too busy Saturday to start and so yesterday before I went to my grandmothers for the picnic, I finally started.
While technically I did just by the wire on Thursday, I used some of it up already. The pendant on it came from an old necklace. It looks a bit messy so I don't think I did it quite right, but I'm still happy for my first try.
This is the fabric that I've had for a few years now (the stuff I mentioned on the other page for getting for $3 for a partial bolt of, lol). Finally it found a use. I want to make a bunch more as they are addicting.
Always; I too am looking around to see what else I can cut up, lol. I'm thinking of trying out the Care Bear fabric I have that I found in a remnants bin.
I think I want to try and make a cat bed for my kitten at some point too.
