I finished the scarf I started the other week while taking a break from the two new crafts I bought. I have not got far with the punchneedle yet as I'm still trying to find the right length for the loops. And for some reason some of the loops are  coming out though I am not lifting the needle. I'll be trying that again later though.

Okay, here is the scarf I finished on Sunday. It is super long so hopefully it will keep someone warm.

So, I've had these adorable fish beads for awhile now and some charms from an old bracelet. Since I'm going on a cruise in two weeks (squee! my first!), I thought I should make something to wear and these are perfect. I've only made one or two other necklaces before so I'm sure I'm doing things wrong, but it seems to work. the bracelet is made with Fun Wire.

95  Charity Scarf Project in Knitting: Completed Projects by vampedangel14 on: August 20, 2010 07:14:51 AM
I have decided that I want to make up a bunch of scarves and donate them later in the year to one of the local shelters. I thought that it would be a good way to destash some of my yarn that I've had sitting around forever. I will either be knitting with needles or using one of my Knifty Knitter looms (it goes faster!) to make them. I'm trying to work on them quickly as I'm easily distracted, lol.
So far I have made two and just started on the third last night.

As you can tell, this green one is pretty short, but it's really thick and will be nice and warm. I wish I had made it a little narrower but I hate restarting so just went with it.

Another for the Deadly Sins swap. Greed this time. Next up is Sloth and then I'll be in a swap to get the ones I missed.

Okay, here's the finished scarf. It's just long enough to put one end over your shoulder. Luckily, some people like short scarves.

Here is scarf #2 in progress. The yarn is really thick so I couldn't use my loom this time. I think I made it two stitches too wide. I'll worry about that if I come up short.

For stash busting, I made a scarf last yesterday. I worked on it from around 11am until I finished it at 10:30 pm. I watch some anime while making it. So even though I sat around all day, at least I got something finished. I plan on making a bunch and donating them. I'll post a picture as soon as I get them uploaded.

This weekend I bought three things and spent a grand total of $15. One was a potholder loom I've been wanting to try out. The second is a big skein of yarn to make another scarf with. The third is that little Embelish Knit machine I found at Joanns. It was normally around $15 but on clearance for $4 so I couldn't pass it up. I made a long cord with it as soon as I got home. I'm going to have lots of fun with it I think Cheesy
