31  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Frankenstein Fridge Magnet on: July 13, 2013 04:33:17 PM
I made this little fridge magnet to help decorate my kitchen.  Grin
I drew up Frankenstein and colored him in with Copic markers. I almost always do portraits in B&W so I did that first, then added the color on top. I think that trick worked out okay. The circle frame is something I picked up on sale at Michael's having NO idea what I would do with them.
Frank is enjoying the kitchen view now.  Wink

34  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Steins in Love on: June 02, 2013 08:17:05 AM
I am on the Monster Team for the Summer Nerd Games and this month's battle is Romance vs. Horror. Being on Team Monster I think Horror would have been easier but I was all for romance! I picked the most famous Monster couple, Frankenstein's Monster and his Bride. I found these slate looking hearts I bought from Michael's a long time ago for a quarter. I knew they would come in handy!  Wink  I photocopied some old ATC's of Universal Monsters I made onto card stock and cut them out. I found a bunch of embellishments I bought right after Halloween too. Glittery spider webs, bats, and spiders and thought they would be perfect for this project. Everything was from my stash! I love it when that happens!  Grin
 Here is the result:

and individually...

Bride

Frank's Monster.

I have been trying to fill up a wall with random artwork so this is going up.  Wink
35  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Shambala Bracelets on: May 25, 2013 06:09:04 PM
Okay, No one may find Shambala bracelets that spectacular but I am not usually the jewelry making kind of girl. I had to keep muttering "Left, right, under, over, left, right, under, over....". I sounded like I was insane until I messed up, then I sounded like a pirate.  Embarrassed
But I managed to get a couple of these little guys done. I was proud of them and sent them off to their new home for the IYP swap.

I will be making more for Christmas.  Grin
36  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Skeleton Key Necklace on: May 25, 2013 06:03:10 PM
I decided to attempt one of those awesome Skeleton Key Necklaces I always see. I love them so much but I have issues with embellishing. I stink at it. Bunny1Kenobi was kind enough to be my guinea pig for the IYP swap. I tried several different variations and I went with this one. Now I have a ton of those little metal roses! So many ideas for them!
I added some gears o make this a little more steampunk.  Wink

37  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Steampunk Dragonfly Locket on: May 25, 2013 05:54:33 PM
I am terrible at embellishing and jewelry making. Terrible! I put on my big girl pants and tried really, really hard to make bunny1kenobi some steampunk inspired stuff for the IYP swap.
 Here is my attempt...
I found this locket that you could fill up the inside of. I got a dragonfly charm and glued it to the front. I had a watch component piece that I glued inside and put a tiny key in it as well. The key can float around.

 Here's the inside...

38  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Victorian Vampire Purse on: May 25, 2013 05:46:50 PM
This is the purse that I made for bunny1kenobi for the IYP Swap. We both had this fabric pinned on our Pinterest boards and I was dying to buy it for something. I had to scale the pattern up to fit the entire scene on the fabric. I have never scaled a pattern before so I sort of psyched myself out when I did it. Ended up not being that big of a deal.  Tongue

I love this pattern because it's easy, it turns out nice, and it showcases focus fabric so well!

It has a black and gray speckled fabric and the interior is a white on white ivy fabric.

40  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Monster Wall Clock on: April 11, 2013 12:09:15 PM
I guess this is where I would post this...

I made this wall clock for a swap I was in about a month ago and realized I hadn't posted it up on any boards yet. I thought it was a cute idea and want to make another one for my iown wall.
I just used a wooden circle and drilled a hole in it to put the clock parts. The ears are made from cardboard that I sealed the corrugated part of. They were originally suppose to be horns but we all know how crafts can decide to be something different on us.  Tongue  I was pleased with how easy and fun he was to make.
I thought he turned out cute, if a little sad looking.

 and here is another angle...

The top picture is truer to the actual colors.

 Thanks for looking!
