31  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Undercover Fandom Round 2 on: March 02, 2017 06:04:57 AM
Okay, found a second to post up! Whew!
I received from gala_apples and she sent me a fantastic package.
First up is an awesome hoop from a book series I read called Love and Decay. It's a post apocalypse type serial book that I have been reading for years and love. Their are 5 brothers and they are all named after guitarist so this hoop works out perfectly! Then there is the hilarious "Erotic Friend Fiction" notebook. It fits right in my purse. I have a slight notebook obsession so this one really fit the bill.

Then she sent me this amazing Raven Boys shirt. It's a quote from the book. AMAZING book. Loved it even if the ending was a little "eh", the journey more than made up for it. Love the shirt. It's a nice vibrant color for Spring and the stenciling is so crisp and clean. I will be wearing it on St. Patricks Day.  Grin Sorry for the pic. It is thrown over the back of a chair. It was the only place safe from the cats who kept trying to get in the shot.

Thanks again Gala_apples! I really love my package!!!

Pioneer9 The white tree hoop is beautiful. So cleanly done. I love that the back of the ornament says her name! Thats too cool!! Cool coasters too. The TM patches are really nicely done. I love them both. The Hedwig patch is fantastic!

FiberAlchemy Love the Kuchi Kopi!!! I think he is so awesome. I need to make myself one. I have to now. The shirt is so neatly done. Very crisp. Looks professional! And I love that people got it or asked about it. Thats exactly what I was going for when I set this swap up!!! And I am coveting the notebooks. I absolutely LOVE them. I adore things that look like they came from fictional places.

I recieved from Gala_Apples yesterday. She sent me an amazing package. I'll have to post up in a bit, I just ran out of break time! Ooopps! Tongue

This gallery is even better than I hoped. So much inspiration and great pieces!

Pioneer9 I used Intense pencils to draw on the fabric. Once dried it is permanent.
Onyxnox Your art looks so neat! Do you have a close up so we can see the details. Love the soft dreamy colors.
Huh - The EE Cummings quote one is beautiful. I like the rustic-ness of the background.
Mandykaye I love yours. So cute, funny and whimsical. And it has a cat! Fantastic.
StudioANF the mermaid is absolutely stunning I love everything about it. The cargo ship is sweet and dreamy. Like the metallic accents.

I love the little kitty face popping up in the background there, Gozer! Is that Yeti?
LOL! Yes. I am never more than 5 inches away from a cat at any given moment in my house.  Wink

I got my artwork from Anmesia last night and it came already framed and ready to display. It's going to go in my kitchen. I have a collage of sorts with random artwork in there. This will fit in perfectly. The vine, heart, and tag are on top of the frame for a cool layered effect.

 Thanks Amnesia, love it!

All fabric with stitching, no stamping. I drew the fox and the lettering on the fabric.

Project Name: Fox Fabric Drawing
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description:  I made this for the 4x6 Art swap. It had many steps to it. All the fabric except the green on the very back was white that I painted or drew on. I drew out the fox first and colored it with Inktense pencils. I added water to activate or whatever happens and set that aside to dry. Then I painted the background with blues and greens, let that dry and then went over it again with super glitter paint. While that was drying (actually the next day) I wrote out the quote and painted on that. After everything was all dried I cut out the fox and hand sewed the floss around him and the quote. After that, I stitched it all together on my sewing machine. The back green piece is a thin canvas type fabric so it had some weight to it. I liked it and I am currently making some more of these with different animals. It's actually more vibrant than the picture and it's square. I cut the final out with the quilting square when it was all done.
