2271  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Altered thimble swap! on: October 15, 2013 06:14:04 AM
I think I just assumed these would just be ornaments and nver looked in here but if you did this swap I would join. It offers a lot of ways to really try to think out of the box and your right about a smaller shippping cost. This could be like the altered tins. SO many variations.

My move kept me from participating too much recently but I am hoping to add some stuff up here soon! I haven't been able to commnet oo much so I am only going to start a couple pages back. Everything is amazing so please don't take offense if I started after you posted.  Embarrassed

Ludi - I love your embroidery! The zombie has the right amount of gore without being cheesy and I adore cats so that white cat is my all time fave. The apples are crazy! I want to know what yuor eye sight is because I could never make anythng that small!
BadWolf314 - Cool Zelda pillow! I think my husband would love that! and the Camp Half-Blood is wonderful.
Leather and Lace - That tardis is perfect for a convention. And those little companions are so cool! Very cute.
Bunny1Kenobi - Fabulous mug rug. I need to make one for my work and for my hot chocolate. I love the little tea pot swirls. And the necklace turned out amazing! It's so pretty and then you look closer anf you see the blood... and it is even cooler! Love it and all the little sprockets.
Iselaeffchen - I loved it as soon as I saw the candy corn colors! LOL! Best candy ever!!!
Calabaza  - Neat idea for the chair! You could store so much more that way. I love the bracelet too. They remind me of pressed pennies but way more personalized.
Ezri - Whoa! Your apple sauce looks deadly, in a good way! I bet it is amazing.

JessKelly 0 the felted wool is really cool looking. Adds a lot of texture.

Yay! You got it! I am glad you liked it. You will completely get the mismatched eyes when you read the book. I hope you enjoy it and I thought that dice was so neat!

Hey alwaysinmyroom, the pattern is by noodlehead. The 241 Tote. I added the link below. It was $8
http://www.noodle-head.com/2011/03/241-tote-pattern.html
Post up if you make it! It had two versions. One has front zippers. I'd love to see it with different colors/patterns!

Wow wendiek, all those tiny symbols look like they took forever! Shocked  Very cute.
2277  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Favorite Book Swap Rd 2 (Sign Ups Closed; Send Outs Oct 12) on: October 09, 2013 07:33:27 AM
Don't feel bad elyxandra! You still have plenty of time (a lot can get done in 3 days!). You shouldn't feel bad at all. It's not even send out time yet. Tisk-tisk, silly swapper.  Wink
If you still feel guilty don't open until you send! Some people are just speedy. That's no reflection on you. I have had people send really early and I freak out a bit.

Yay for you Bunny1Kenobi. I knew you would get that last small done soon. Too crafty not too!
2278  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Favorite Book Swap Rd 2 (Sign Ups Closed; Send Outs Oct 12) on: October 08, 2013 08:59:58 AM
The little extra made it's way to my house last night so I am sending it (and the rest of the package) out to continue the journey on my lunch break. I should be sending out the confirmation number in about an hour!  Grin

And it is sent. The post lady asked what was in the box. I said books. She asked if there was anything else and I said something small. She said that if it was only books it would have been $3 but because there was something else it ended up being $10. Not saying to lie... but it would be cheaper if you did....

I made this purse for the IYP swap. I had an AMAZING partner in SmileyYogini. This was the first time I have ever done a purse that was "floppy". The interfacing wasn't stiff like I am used to so I was nervous as I made it. Think it turned out pretty good. It was a neat experience to try something different.

I have another simple purse I made for another swap that I will post up as soon as they receive it. THEN the holiday sewing begins. I suspect this board will be getting busier soon with that!!!

The fisherman catching the fish is such a fun badge! You did a great job on those! They look very fun.
