1581  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Fairy Tale Swap on: March 18, 2014 05:42:52 AM
Yes, Robin Hood counts. That's why I opened it to other stories besides just fairy tales. I didn't want great inspiration such as Robin Hood, wizard of Oz, or others to be left out.
And ddfabric, if you are anything like me you will always have UFOs. Join!

I have the first graphic novel for Fable. I heard it is getting turned into a movie. I also have two graphic novels for the Cinderella spin off from Fable, Greetings from Fabletown  Huh something like that. I am drawing a blank on the name. Cinderella is an undercover agent that owns a shoe store. Oh! That reminds me. Has anyone seen Ever After High? I am into Monster High so I check them out sometimes. Also based on Fairy Tales.  Wink

CraftADDchick, ArtsyCandice, and coulsenl - all your pot PI's look delicious!
FreakieGeekie - I don't know that character but I love that his little hat comes off. He looks great. I like the yellow eyes.
Bunny1kenobi - Crazy. LOL! I still can't get over how wonderful that turned out. It looks amazing and your son is lucky because no one in my family would ever get anything that time consuming. Ha! Your bead necklace was very colorful and pretty too and I liked the steampunk ring. It looked sort of western too with the stone.

Enchanted. I have that on my Kindle too. So many books I need to read. Let me know if it's any good!

I have one item completely finished up but I was switching back and forth between this and another swap. I am hoping to dedicate this week to the other swap so I can have that one set and done and then dive in head first into this one next week. I am still waiting on supplies. Got one thing in and now I am waiting on another.

I hope you both make it in. You both would be wonderful additions to the swap.  Grin

The only other retelling book I can think of off the top of my head would be Wicked. But whatever you make doesn't have to be based off a specific retelling. I am hoping to have a more interpretive swap.

I am still in awe of how neat and clean it is! I would have gotten to number 200 and messed up on the numbers. LOL! Amazing job and I love the colors you chose.

Jackson Pearce does fairy tale retellings for her books. She has done Red Riding Hood (The Sisters Red), Hanzel and Gretel (Sweetly), and the Little Mermaid (Fathomless).  Also there is the Lunar Chronicals by Marissa Meyer (Cinder, Scarlett, and Cress). I haven't had a chance to read any of these but I have The Sister's Red and Sweetly on my Kindle (thanks to bunny1kenobi) and plan to read them soon.  Wink

Got one item done. I thought it turned out neat. Then I got about 80% of another one done. Just waiting on an item to arrive before the start the medium and I have an idea for an extra. Pilar is so much fun to craft for! I am having a blast.  Grin
