1431  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Baby Bellatrix for the Wicked Tin Swap on: October 03, 2012 01:36:41 PM
Amazing! This is why I will never join an altered tin swap. Stuff like this is WAY too intimidating! Love it.

Your skills never fail to amaze me. I want to use him as a pillow!
1433  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / First Stuffie! on: October 03, 2012 01:02:07 PM
I have seen all sorts of amazing stuffies on here and always wanted to try to make one. When I joined the Monster Swap I knew I had to attempt it. Whenever I sew I always use a pattern because my confidence is not that high with it yet. But for this guy I drew up my own. First time for that!! Yes, it is very simple but I am still super excited that it turned out at all.

Here is is chillin' on the ugly chair.

And here he is hanging out with my kitty, Gozer. They wanted a more serious "gangsta" shot so he didn't stick out his tongue.  Tongue

And here he is on his way to his new home at Kwality570's. He brought along his own basket and bat toy.
I used the tutorial that LesliesHappyHeart put on here for the basket. Thanks for the tut! I didn't do the embellishing but I think it still turned out nice. Here is the link to it!

Thanks so much for looking. I really enjoyed making this guy and I can't wait to try another one. Maybe actually get the horns on the next one.  Grin
1434  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Monsterous Attempt at Embellishing on: October 03, 2012 12:50:23 PM
One of my biggest problems with my projects is embellishing. I just can't do it. It doesn't come natural and it likes to make a fool out of me every chance it gets. I will draw up a cute monster or twisting mermaid and then that's it.  Tongue  I want to add more dimension to my work. I have it set as one of my little goals to work on my embellishing skills. Currently they are at a "2" I would like to bring them up to a "4". LOL! I have a real issue with creativity. I have all these crazy amazing ideas in the store and I go blank and loose all my nerve once my supplies are set out in front of me.
Here is my second attempt at cards. I made these for Kwality570 for the monster swap.

Here they all are together. I drew & colored the monsters with markers.

He may not look like a monster but he is actually a baby Kraken.  Wink

I attempted stamping for the lettering because my handwriting is horrible!

This was my favorite but it is very plain.

My husband liked this one best.

Any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated! And thanks for checking them out!
1435  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / nail polish purse on: October 03, 2012 08:31:36 AM
I haven't posted on this board in a long time. We moved and now my craft room is so tiny it's almost impossible to sew in. I can't have my ironing board up and the chair to my sewing table out at the same time kind of tiny.  Undecided
But a couple months ago I did manage to get this purse done for my BIL's girlfriend. She does nails and loves cutesy stuff so I thought this fabric was perfect for her.

I am planning to make one with peacock feathered fabric soon for the other BIL's girlfriend. I just need to clean up some in the room first. Eek! But seeing this really makes me want to sew again so maybe that will motivate me!
 Thanks for looking!
1436  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Multi- Partner Wall Art swap (sign-ups Sept 30- October 14; S.O. Dec 3) on: October 03, 2012 07:09:08 AM
 Mines right!

I have been having a creative spurt and did a bunch of little sketches that I hope fits someones theme. If not they will hang on my wall.    Roll Eyes

I love the softness of the patronis. Very pretty and dreamy.
but I feel bad for that poor bunny! Maybe he can style those tentacles into a suave little handlebar mustache and find himself a nice bunny to spend his life with one day.

they are all good but that cupcake is my favorite!  Wink
1439  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: A bunch of my water colors I did this summer on: October 03, 2012 07:02:32 AM
Very nice. I like the way they tell a story (even the dead girl) and are so vibrant.

I like the first lady best. Her wings amuse me.
Cheesecloth. I was just thinking about making those cheesecloth ghosts with my step-son. Way to think out of the box with it!
