Smeddley - Almost the exact same thing happened at my house last night. My hubs was opening a Christmas card from my family and he froze and started screaming "Glitter! Baby, help! Glitter!!!". It was a false alarm and just hologram paper. I laughed for a good hour and did impressions.  Roll Eyes
Lindyv321 - Mmmm those mint thins make me want to throw my diet aside and dig in! Yummy looking.
amymarie78 - Fantastic idea for the archeology! And the scarf looks nice and warm. I could use it right now.  Embarrassed

BIG CONGRATS TO BUNNY1KENOBI, CALABAZA, AND LUDI !!!!!!
Way to go! We have such a talented group here.

Battle/Challenge:  December - Bag of Holding
Team: Wordy
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Buddah Bag
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: It's a bag and it will definitely hold things.  Wink  I made this bag for my (future) SIL. She loves Buddah's and I was so excited to find fabric with them on it. This has two inside pockets. This was my first intermediate pattern. I was so nervous to try it. It has a plastic piece at the bottom. First time I ever did that.  Tongue  Anyways, I am happy with how it turned out and I hope she likes it.

yoopidou - I love those Elves! I just bought a fairy doll made with the string wrap like that at a craft show, not cheap at all! I wanted to figure out how to make them. If you would share your secret, or a link, I would be forever in your debt!

I got the most amazing package ever from Kwality570. A reusable calendar! I know they have a word for them that sounds better but I can't think of it. But it's the kind that you can use year after year. It is so adorable! For some reason my pics are really dark. I am going to try to take better pics in the morning. It's bright and cheerful really. I put today's date and my two favorite pics, April and Friday.  Grin Each picture is CO cute. SO CUTE! I love these monsters.

Oh and she sent me these awesome stencils from her gelli print(er). I already have ideas how to use these. They are so neat and iridescent and cool.

Thank you so much for swapping with me Kwality570, you never disappoint!

I love this swap and I just moved so I can use more art for my walls! Count me in!

Cool bear hoop FancyButch! I like the color choice and the detail!

My package to Kwality570 seems to be in limbo. I have been tracking it and it hasn't moved since the 9th, the day I sent it. Called the post office and they said it wasn't guarenteed to be there in 2 days and to wait until the 15 before trying to have them figure it out. They weather isn't really bad here so no excuses!  Angry
1166  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / These foxes say nothing on: December 11, 2013 12:17:12 PM
We moved into a new home a couple months ago and I wanted to put some art work up that was no so obviously my stuff. I decided to try some abstract since I normally draw girls.
I picked two foxes playing in the snow. It will be a seasonal thing to put up.
The background was done in metallic paints and richer, warm tones.

then I painted over it all with white, cream, black and a touch of blue. I originally wanted this to be more textured but it was my first time doing it and sort of chickened out. Here is a close up of the crouching fox.

I think that is a fun idea. I would be in.  I like the pic you chose too!

Battle/Challenge:  December - Throw a little glitter on it
Team: Wordy
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Sparkly Shambala Bracelet
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: I am making a couple Shambala bracelets this year for Christmas. I got a couple cool focus beads at the store the other day and this one was just sparkly enough to count! I hope she likes it.  Smiley

PS. I am banned from using glitter in my home so this was as close as I could get. You spill it once on the carpet and it seems no one ever forgets (and it never leaves either  Tongue).

Bunny1kenobi - Love that "Epiphany" shirt. Your stenciled shirts are stellar! You are so good at those. I am going to have to get some tips.
CraftADDchick - Cute stocking and such thoughtful extras.
Ludi - Dead on for Hunger Games. Funny that you could do that without reading the book or seeing the movie! Amazing job.
BadWolf314 - What fun ornaments! You will have a very "nerdy" tree. Ha! I think I like the Hitchhikers best but I have a friend who would flip for the Tardis ones.
FreakieGeekie - Such an adorable elf! Better than that creepy one on the shelf.
Ezri_B - Those cookies look so good! Someone made them at work for our fundraiser but I had no idea about warming them up over your cup! Next year I am definitely buying some of those. I feel cheated now. LOL!
LovelyMiss - I love your gift tags. I am so jealous of anyone getting those. My favorite is the button ones. I couldn't get the "Pin It" button to come up but I will be pinning those!
amymarie78 - Lovely ornaments. I like the purple one best. They look so delicate and pretty. I am sure your friend will love them.
