251  Re: Purse Craftalong-2013 in Craftalongs by gozer on: October 17, 2013 08:26:45 AM
I made this quick little messenger bag for the book swap. It's a simple little pattern that I thought came out cute and fit the book great. I wanted something simple so I could stencil on the image of eyes to the front of it.
and inside....

It is based on the book Graceling if anyone has read that. Great book. I usually don't like medieval type books but that one was fantastic.
I am currently working on two more purses but time is elusive and not being my friend.  Cry Hopefully I can work on them and get them done this weekend. After that I am starting a completely new pattern for a Christmas gift. Just got some awesome fabric in this week! I can't wait!

I made this purse for the IYP swap. I had an AMAZING partner in SmileyYogini. This was the first time I have ever done a purse that was "floppy". The interfacing wasn't stiff like I am used to so I was nervous as I made it. Think it turned out pretty good. It was a neat experience to try something different.
I have another simple purse I made for another swap that I will post up as soon as they receive it. THEN the holiday sewing begins. I suspect this board will be getting busier soon with that!!!

I received my package last week but then I had a super crazy week. I haven't been home since the 26th so I wasn't able to get pics. SO SORRY!!! SmileyYogini made me a completely AMAZING package.
She knows I love Red Riding Hood and she made me my own hood!

She did an amazing, fantastic, awe inspiring job! I love it!!! She also sent that adorable monster book that has some really, really cute patterns in it.
Here is a close up of the details she put into it. Ah-mazing!!!

Thank you SO much SmileyYogini! I feel like I made a real friend in this swap. I have loved chatting with her. She is so much fun!

I got my package a couple days ago but one of my kitties had to be declawed - for the third time.  Cry  I was a mess and he was playing it up to get extra sympathy so it took me longer than normal to post up. Sorry SmileyYogini. I absolutely LOVE everything. I am going to have to send you some extra extras to make up for all the wonderfulness!
First up, a beautiful blue crochet hat with a pretty bit of bling to help set it off.  Cheesy

Then she sent me an amazing tote with a super cool painted skull face that I think is absolutely amazing! I hope yo had fun painting that SmileyYogini because it looks so fun! She also made me a Jack Skellington hoopla. This will go on my craft room wall! And a beautiful crochet necklace in my favorite color, gray!

Next up, some adorable cat buttons! These are SO cute! A trivet (is that what they are called?) for my kitchen. Some ouchless hair bands in great colors for my Monster High dolls and some neat Monster High tape! Some yummy Gummi bears, and a bling skull. And don't miss that little kitty in the middle. He looks like my Gozer who just had the surgery!

 And my favorite item...

I'm an EWOK! As soon as I opened the box and saw this I put it on and declared just that. My husband stared and said, "You're going to wear that all winter aren't you?". I said, "Winter? I'm an Ewok!". LOL!
And the only reason I am not smiling in the pics is that I had no idea how much older I look smiling. I feel all wrinkly. LOL!
That you SO MUCH SmileyYogini! I loved everything!!!!

256  Frankenstein Fridge Magnet in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by gozer on: July 13, 2013 04:33:17 PM
I made this little fridge magnet to help decorate my kitchen.  Grin
I drew up Frankenstein and colored him in with Copic markers. I almost always do portraits in B&W so I did that first, then added the color on top. I think that trick worked out okay. The circle frame is something I picked up on sale at Michael's having NO idea what I would do with them.
Frank is enjoying the kitchen view now.  Wink

 Thanks for looking!

Whoa I just found this gallery! So many awesome things. I will comment on them all tomorrow but I stepped on my cats foot and he is really mad right now so I have to post this up quick! LOL!
I received from SmileyYogini today and everything is so fun and awesome - just like her!
First up is a super cute monster coin purse & monster buttons because we both love monsters! Lavender scented soap, yummy turtle coffee (I love caramel!!), some all natural cleaning product (my husband should get a kick out of this one! LOL!), and some beautiful purple nail polish!

Next up is a hilarious wood burning of a ninja sewing. Funny thing is that smileyYogini didn't know my hubby and I play ninja and jump out and scare each other all the time. I even have a ninja name.  Wink Love this wood burning! And a great ATC of Mrs. Addams knitting. We both do ATC's. Oh and that's the card she sent. We both love unicorns, I prefer fat ones. Ha!

okay, kitty is starting to kick me in my lap. His foot can't hurt that bad... I got this adorable zombie cat coin purse! I LOVE it. SO ADORABLE! And A FAT UNICORN!!!! LOL! Love the unicorn. She sculpted it herself.  ;Dcrochet

and last but not least... my very own crochet dish cloth. It will never be used as a dish cloth. I love it.

Thank you SO much SmileyYogini! Yours should be out tomorrow or Wednesday. I finished it up today!

259  Re: Tim Burton Swap! Gallery!!! in The Swap Gallery by gozer on: July 08, 2013 05:47:51 PM
Anubisheart got my package last week so I thought I would go ahead and post up what I sent her.
I made her this purse of Lock, Shock, and Barrel.

I hand drew & painted the front panel.

A Lock, Shock, and Barrel vase and a Oogie boogie cat toy. the side opens so you can put cat nip in it (which I included)

and I also added some glow in the dark Nightmare Before Christmas stickers and a deck of Tim Burton cards.

I received today from Anubisheart! It is an amazing package and I love everything!
First up she sent me this adorable stuffed Oogie Boogie!

and she included this awesome Lock, Shock, & Barrel stocking that I am sure I will stuff full this Christmas.

Next up a cool pair of eyeball earrings, a bat & skull keychain, and a bracelet inspired by the sand worms (my faves) from Beetlejuice.

Last but not least this Sandworm canvas! I love this one the most. It's already on my wall! How did you do it?? The pic is taken at an angle because I kept getting a glare, sorry.
