212  Shambala Bracelets in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by gozer on: May 25, 2013 06:09:04 PM
Okay, No one may find Shambala bracelets that spectacular but I am not usually the jewelry making kind of girl. I had to keep muttering "Left, right, under, over, left, right, under, over....". I sounded like I was insane until I messed up, then I sounded like a pirate.  Embarrassed
But I managed to get a couple of these little guys done. I was proud of them and sent them off to their new home for the IYP swap.

I will be making more for Christmas.  Grin

213  Skeleton Key Necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by gozer on: May 25, 2013 06:03:10 PM
I decided to attempt one of those awesome Skeleton Key Necklaces I always see. I love them so much but I have issues with embellishing. I stink at it. Bunny1Kenobi was kind enough to be my guinea pig for the IYP swap. I tried several different variations and I went with this one. Now I have a ton of those little metal roses! So many ideas for them!
I added some gears o make this a little more steampunk.  Wink

214  Steampunk Dragonfly Locket in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by gozer on: May 25, 2013 05:54:33 PM
I am terrible at embellishing and jewelry making. Terrible! I put on my big girl pants and tried really, really hard to make bunny1kenobi some steampunk inspired stuff for the IYP swap.
 Here is my attempt...
I found this locket that you could fill up the inside of. I got a dragonfly charm and glued it to the front. I had a watch component piece that I glued inside and put a tiny key in it as well. The key can float around.

 Here's the inside...
 Thanks for looking!

215  Victorian Vampire Purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by gozer on: May 25, 2013 05:46:50 PM
This is the purse that I made for bunny1kenobi for the IYP Swap. We both had this fabric pinned on our Pinterest boards and I was dying to buy it for something. I had to scale the pattern up to fit the entire scene on the fabric. I have never scaled a pattern before so I sort of psyched myself out when I did it. Ended up not being that big of a deal.  Tongue
I love this pattern because it's easy, it turns out nice, and it showcases focus fabric so well!
It has a black and gray speckled fabric and the interior is a white on white ivy fabric.

216  Re: IYP 23: Summer Do Si Do GALLERY!! in The Swap Gallery by gozer on: May 22, 2013 06:25:10 PM
And we begin with a package full of amazingness and fun from Bunny1kenobi! I had to wait to get home today to open and the suspense was killing me! I was NOT disappointed. Bunny1 sent me an amazing package and even spoiled my kitties!
First up... An FANTASTIC purse! So intimidating to get something from someone who knows how to sew! I am self taught so I am looking all over this one in awe. It's fantastic. Puts me to shame.

I was holding the straps up and I assure you it is straight, that's my crookedness you are seeing. I love the tentacle-y (is that a word?) pattern on he front. Oh! and it zips closed!!

 LOVE it!!!
Bunny1 knows how much I love Red Riding Hood too. She made me a RRH doll! She is so detailed! Red is wearing little bloomers (I pulled her skirt up a bit so you could check 'em out)and notice the wolf bracelet she is wearing. Um, that is my cats feet (Gozer) next to her. He has a thing for dolls. Couldn't get him out of the picture.

She continued the RRH theme with this beautiful necklace!

Next she sent me this phenomenal stenciled tee! I love Octopus and this shirt rocks. I will be wearing it tomorrow!

That had to have taken you forever with all those tiny pieces!!!
We also share a love of cryptozoology. She made me a fantastic Bigfoot domino pendant necklace. Hey! I just noticed that's an ATC I sent to her! LOL! You crak me up bunny1!

That's a ton of stuff, right? She didn't stop there! She spoiled my babies with lots of treats and catnip!

Then spoiled me even more with notebooks (I am a huge list maker so I love these!), a funny "I like big books" bookmark, a Copic catalog (ALL the colors!!!!), and a mad libs.  Grin

some Monster High cards (huge dork, yeah. I collect those dolls), and some local candy

and here is a bonus pic of Venkman playing with his new toy. Had to take lots of pics of this because he was jumping around so much with his mouth wide open! LOL! he finally got tired and I got this one of him looking innocent.

Thank you so much Bunny1kenobi! You really outdid yourself and spoiled me rotten!

Project Name: multimedia - blue
Team/Geekdom: Team Monster
Project Geekdom (if any): Yeti Necklace
Bonus Points: include which bonus points you think you've earned: Nerdy Super Bonus (Monster)
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: I was stuck baby sitting the other day and decided to bring out my Sculpy to entertain the girls. We decided to make necklaces. I love Yeti's so I tried to make a cute yeti necklace. I went for blue for the multimedia challenge. At first I thought, heck yeah, red all the way. I can handle the cold hard truth. Then I thought about all the time I spend with my head stuck in a book - a nice little fantasy world - and I knew I would choose the BLUE pill!  Grin

220  Monster Wall Clock in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by gozer on: April 11, 2013 12:09:15 PM
I guess this is where I would post this...

I made this wall clock for a swap I was in about a month ago and realized I hadn't posted it up on any boards yet. I thought it was a cute idea and want to make another one for my iown wall.
I just used a wooden circle and drilled a hole in it to put the clock parts. The ears are made from cardboard that I sealed the corrugated part of. They were originally suppose to be horns but we all know how crafts can decide to be something different on us.  Tongue  I was pleased with how easy and fun he was to make.
I thought he turned out cute, if a little sad looking.

 and here is another angle...

The top picture is truer to the actual colors.

 Thanks for looking!
