201  Re: Personal/Private Swap Gallery, 2012 in The Swap Gallery by gozer on: December 19, 2012 09:55:23 AM
And here is my card from Jennifer680! I think everyone did an amazing job, especially with the color limitations.

Once again, I want to make those grommets! Beautiful ATC. It will look amazing on my tree for years to come.   Grin

202  Girls, girls, girly-girls in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by gozer on: December 06, 2012 10:09:32 AM
Last month I had did a couple ATC's for the ATC swap and one for myself. They ended up all being girls. I didn't realize it til I had them all together.  Roll Eyes
Here is the one I made for myself, Red Riding Hood. I darkened up around the wolfs mouth and it looks a little better. I will try to update the photo but we all know how hectic it is during the holidays.

I tried a different style for this card and I really liked it, my husband did not. I am sort of second guessing it because of the hubby's response but he is always very honest and I appreciated it. It's Alice from Alice in Wonderland.

Another Bride of Frankenstein. I have done her a couple times but I think they keep improving. At least that is what I tell myself.

And after seeing a couple great Medusa cards from Leather and Lace a tried one too. It was intimidating making one after seeing how awesome hers turned out (check out the Oct ATC swap for them).

And I did a private swap with pilarfarmer. She wanted a plus sized mermaid. I really liked the way her fishy body part came out but I think she should have been chunkier. My husband called her pregnant (there is that honesty)  Undecided  and said she needed bigger tata's. After sending it I sort of agree.

Thanks for checking them out. As always C&C welcome.

I don't know why I still get amazed at how hectic things get around the holidays! Sorry for the delay in posting!
First up is from smmarrt (my computer keeps autocorrecting that, LOL!). It is such a sweet card/ornament. It says, " No two snowflakes are exactly alike". It is so pretty and the snowflakes are shiny.  Grin

and next is from ThristyLiving4U. It's a YETI!!!! I love cryptozoology and LOVE the Yeti! This one is made of clay, I think?, and is amazing. I love the sad little face.

And here is the tree so far...

Thanks everyone!!! I am loving this swap and the idea. I am going to have to make some for my family.

204  Re: Multi-partner wall art swap in The Swap Gallery by gozer on: December 05, 2012 04:03:39 PM
Okay. I got my camera and I am finally able to post pictures of the wonderful piece of artwork I got from Alexampersandra.
I am trying to fill the wall in the hallway outside my bathroom (in the hallway) with art from the sea. Tentacles, mermaid, octopus, squid, seahorses, and the such.
To begin my collection I got this! It's perfect!!! Playful and fun. I love it!

I love the way the little tentacle comes off the canvas a touch.
Thank you s much Alexampersandra!!!! Sorry it took so long to post.

205  Silhouette Shadow Box in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by gozer on: December 05, 2012 01:46:35 PM
First of all, I am so proud of myself for spelling silhouette right the fist time! LOL! That being said I will procede....

I did this piece for the Wall Art Swap and my partner just received so I thought I share here too.
I wanted to do something sort of dimensional but that was protected so her cats wouldn't destroy it. I was walking around Michael's and came across these shadow boxes on sale and grabbed up three. You never know when you will need a shadow box, right?
Embellishments and I are not usually very friendly with each other and I have been trying for the last couple of months to learn so I can add something more to my drawings. The shadow box is sort of like a leaf box (snow globe) thing too because the leaves at the bottom are not glued down so they can be shaken up.
I thought it turned out clean and bright looking.  Wink

Yes, the flash is right in the picture but I couldn't avoid it. And the proportions of the people and leaves are WAY off but I sort of liked that. I thought it made it look whimsical. Hopefully my partner did too.
Since I have more shadow boxes on hand I was thinking of trying a bat themed one for my sister when I have time.
 Thanks for looking!

I am glad you like it Alexampersandra! I got yours but then my camera battery died at work (The camera her is eh so I use mine) then when I got home and charged it I realized I left the SD card on my desk.  Tongue  I will post your art up tomorrow. I do love it, It is going to go on the wall in the hallway. I want to fill it up with .... I will tell everyone once they see it.  Wink
Here is a clearer picture of the shadow box and yes, it was hard to photograph! Hence the flash. LOL! Oh, and if you shake it then it will sort of make a leaf globe.

Glad it got to you in one piece!

207  Re: Ongoing ATC Swap - November 2012 GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by gozer on: December 03, 2012 01:07:01 PM
I too have been sick and this weekend I got these wonderful cards. They really brightened my day. Thanks guys!
Dreadlady sent me this fantastic lama smiking a cigarette. Love him. What attitude! To me he says, "Chill out dude. It's just one. I'll quit tomorrow". LOL!

And from SunnyDawn, my cats theme! She sent me too. The first is a frisky little rainbow emitting cat...

and what I call a merkitty. LOL! I love long red hair on this one and the way she looks furry.

 Thanks for brightening my day!!!

So sorry I didn't post earlier. I have been sick but I am fighting it so I don't have to use any sick days and can still take Christmas week off. LOL!
Here is the awesome ATC ornament I got from kaz814. It is stunning and I love it!

Once I got it I was so mad at myself for not thinking about turning them sideways! I get so stuck on vertical. Love the card. It's the perfect ornament.

I wanted to show off the AMAZING package I got from jillybeans for my birthday. She is such a sweetheart! Everything was SO cool and well made and fun.
 Here is the whole shabang...

Notice the awesome zombie shirt! I wore it for Thanksgiving. LOL! She also got me some rub-n-buff which I can't wait to use, Crackle stuff, and ABC stamps.  Cheesy

She saw that one of my big wishes on a previous swap was this pillow I saw on Pinterest so she made it for me! I seriously find this pillow SO funny. It's absolutely perfect! I crack up every time I see it and the pillow fabric is a soft flannel so the kitties love it too!

And her wonderful peg people as Star Wars ornaments! These were particularly awesome because we have a royal blue, silver, and white tree. My hubster is very picky that only those colors go on the tree. My step-son was there when I opened the package and saw these. We put the tree up the next day and my husband let his son pick out and put on the first ornament. He went straight for Han on my bookshelf! I laughed SO HARD! Now we have a blue, silver, and white tree with 3 Star Wars figures right up front! Hahahaha! I love it!!!!
 Thanks again jillybeans.

210  Lennon and Red-head Personal Swap in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by gozer on: November 27, 2012 06:46:01 AM
I asked stickerchic87 to do a personal swap with me because she made me an amazing Red Riding Hood ATC and I wanted it a little bigger so it would show up better on my wall. I love truly the card! so in return I sent her a couple of ATC's.
I used her themes from the on-going swap and choose The Beatles and Ginger Girls. This is what I came up with....

Lennon (hopefully he is recognizable) from The Beatles.

and a ginger girl singing away. I really wanted to add freckles but then I chickened out. I have no idea how to do that and make it look right. I figured I would practice some before I butchered up a card.
 Thanks for looking! C & C welcome.
