161  Re: Ongoing ATC swap - November 2013 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by gozer on: November 20, 2013 07:20:50 AM
I wasn't getting updates for this thread! I will go back and take a proper look at everything tonight so i can ooh and ahhh over cards. In the meantime, here are a couple cards that I just got that eveyone else can ohh and ahh over!  Grin
My theme was Bill Murray and I got two fantastic ards for him. I love Bill. I have a cat named after him and find him hilarious.
First card is from Rockingbearranch. She sent me a card that you have to give a little thought too...

Get it? Steve Zissou! I am also a big Wes Anderson fan so this was perfect!

Next up I got a fantastic card from the ever talented Kosmicgirl. She said Bill Murray looks like her Dad. Her Dad must be adorable!

 Love teh style!
Thanks so much for the cards. I love them both!

I got this package last week but ended up have a crazy migraine that night. Sorry for not posting until today. My weekends are always crazy! Tongue
I received a wonderful package from jkaywiz.
Inside where vintage newspapers, cork, neat papers (the gray & black paper has a really neat texture too it!), old cards, and a really neat photobook.

Along with stamps, vintage stickers, ribbons, tags, cut outs, ticket stub, and a pamplet. There are a bunch of random little bits too!
Thanks so much! I am going to have fun coming up with something for this!

163  Pink Lady ATC in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by gozer on: October 23, 2013 06:39:06 PM
I was bored today and started doodling. I sort of liked where it was going so I decided to ink & Copic it up. It's been so long since I have done an ATC. Sort of miss it. I was thinking of darkening the bottom some more. Anyway, here she is...

 Thanks for taking a look!

Battle/Challenge:  October - Bottoms Up
Team:  Wordy
Bonus Points:  None
Project Name:  Pink Lady ATC
Brief Description: Favorite drink... Pink Lady! I haven't done an ATC in a long time. I got really bored and started doodling and decided to flesh it out with some ink & Copics. Man, it's been a long time since I have sat down to draw. Think I might darken up the bottom a tad more now that I am looking at it closer.

Here is the fantastic package I got from zodak!
As I mentioned before, I got THREE books! I havehad Rot & Ruin on my to read list for a while!

Then she sent me a cool steam punk key. I think the angel wings fell off it...? Or were they extras? Either way the key is really neat. A beautiful ballerina bookmark, and some cat earrings out of clay. It was all packaged in a sweet rabbit tin. I have a rabbit so I love the tin too!

and last but not least a cool tee shirt. She says it is for the book Vampire Kisses.  Kiss

Thanks zodak! I love it all!

166  Re: Purse Craftalong-2013 in Craftalongs by gozer on: October 17, 2013 08:26:45 AM
I made this quick little messenger bag for the book swap. It's a simple little pattern that I thought came out cute and fit the book great. I wanted something simple so I could stencil on the image of eyes to the front of it.
and inside....

It is based on the book Graceling if anyone has read that. Great book. I usually don't like medieval type books but that one was fantastic.
I am currently working on two more purses but time is elusive and not being my friend.  Cry Hopefully I can work on them and get them done this weekend. After that I am starting a completely new pattern for a Christmas gift. Just got some awesome fabric in this week! I can't wait!

I made this purse for the IYP swap. I had an AMAZING partner in SmileyYogini. This was the first time I have ever done a purse that was "floppy". The interfacing wasn't stiff like I am used to so I was nervous as I made it. Think it turned out pretty good. It was a neat experience to try something different.
I have another simple purse I made for another swap that I will post up as soon as they receive it. THEN the holiday sewing begins. I suspect this board will be getting busier soon with that!!!

I received my package last week but then I had a super crazy week. I haven't been home since the 26th so I wasn't able to get pics. SO SORRY!!! SmileyYogini made me a completely AMAZING package.
She knows I love Red Riding Hood and she made me my own hood!

She did an amazing, fantastic, awe inspiring job! I love it!!! She also sent that adorable monster book that has some really, really cute patterns in it.
Here is a close up of the details she put into it. Ah-mazing!!!

Thank you SO much SmileyYogini! I feel like I made a real friend in this swap. I have loved chatting with her. She is so much fun!

I got my package a couple days ago but one of my kitties had to be declawed - for the third time.  Cry  I was a mess and he was playing it up to get extra sympathy so it took me longer than normal to post up. Sorry SmileyYogini. I absolutely LOVE everything. I am going to have to send you some extra extras to make up for all the wonderfulness!
First up, a beautiful blue crochet hat with a pretty bit of bling to help set it off.  Cheesy

Then she sent me an amazing tote with a super cool painted skull face that I think is absolutely amazing! I hope yo had fun painting that SmileyYogini because it looks so fun! She also made me a Jack Skellington hoopla. This will go on my craft room wall! And a beautiful crochet necklace in my favorite color, gray!

Next up, some adorable cat buttons! These are SO cute! A trivet (is that what they are called?) for my kitchen. Some ouchless hair bands in great colors for my Monster High dolls and some neat Monster High tape! Some yummy Gummi bears, and a bling skull. And don't miss that little kitty in the middle. He looks like my Gozer who just had the surgery!

 And my favorite item...

I'm an EWOK! As soon as I opened the box and saw this I put it on and declared just that. My husband stared and said, "You're going to wear that all winter aren't you?". I said, "Winter? I'm an Ewok!". LOL!
And the only reason I am not smiling in the pics is that I had no idea how much older I look smiling. I feel all wrinkly. LOL!
That you SO MUCH SmileyYogini! I loved everything!!!!
