My husband is completely obsessed with riding his motorcycle. Yesterday he had his first track day and it was quite the event for us. He went with one of his friends, Jack. While they were preparing their bikes Jack mentioned that he thought eyeballs were the headlights used to be would be funny. My husband immediately volunteered me. 
 To be honest, I can't remember what kind of bike Jack rides. But here are some pics of what I did. I thought it turned out pretty nifty.

my gosh! There have been so many awesome packages since I was on here last!
 here is one more. I got from the ever talented Kwality570. You will recognize her signature monsters. I am in LOVE with them! Absolutely adore them. This is the most amazing package ever!
 First up, I specifically asked for something to hang on my wall. She did not disappoint! I love the color and style! It's already hanging on my wall.

 I also got this cute plaque of one of her monsters saying a quick "Hello"


 I put it on my 'book'shelf to keep my bunny company.
 She also sent this amazing shadow box. It was really hard to get a picture of, if you have a better picture PLEASE post it up Kwality. Indoors I got the flash glare and outside I got shadows.    I know these images don't do it justice. It is so whimsical and fun! I took a shot so you could see the sides too.

 She didn't stop there! She included my new best friend!!! and some super cute octopus cat toys!! I have to think of a proper name for my new fellow. He is so fuzzy and cute!

 My sister's birthday is coming up and every year I try to make her a purse. I wasn't able to do it last year due to a case of laziness but this year the Purse Craft-along came around just in time to save me! I will also have to give some credit to the snow storm that kept me home from work yesterday.  

 Here is the purse I made her. She is into Edgar Allen Poe recently. I got the Nevermore fabric and this is what I came up with.

 inside I added the raven to the pocket because I know she loves ravens. I also used light fabric to make it easier to find things in.

And here is the whole thing so you can see how long the handles are

 The gusset is done in the same splotchy black fabric.

 I am going to fill it up with a bunch of Poe and bat stuff for her. Not quite sure what spells and maple leaves have to do with Poe but apparently they do (?). I hope she likes it.

me too! I did manage to rip that seam out and sew it back in. Here is the purse I made for my sisters b-day. It's not til the first week of April so I will have to wait to see if she likes it.
 Very simple easy pattern. I am slowing dipping my toe back into sewing.

 I wouldn't mind seeing some zippered pouches. I used to make them all the time and it's neat to see all the different ways people make them!

 So, In order to make the Sunburst Sling I am going to have to coordinate a LOT of fabric, so in the meantime I decided to start a more simple purse for my sister of her birthday in April. Ever since I did the "make a purse and fill it" swap I love the idea for gift giving! My sister is currently on a big Edgar Allen Poe kick. I got her a vinyl Poe figure and some other random things. I plan to put what I can in the purse. I ordered some of the Nevermore fabric so I am using that.

 And here is a shot of the pieces I cut for the front and back of the bag. My sister current favorite things are Poe, ravens, and bats so I am trying to focus in on that part of the fabric.

 And I want to patch this raven on the inside pocket.
 I am not sure what maple leaves or spells have to do with Poe. I am admittedly not a huge fan. I have a black cat and that story still makes me mad! LOL!
 I plan to cut out the gusset (a black and dark grey bubbly fabric) and put on the interfacing tonight/tomorrow. I will keep you posted!

 I received cards from two of those amazing talents this week!
 First up I received from the wonderful Susie Apple. She chose me for Bill Murray and I couldn't be happier with the results! I love Bill Murray. I even have a cat named Venkman.  I was so excited when she chose this theme and she didn't disappoint!  Behold - BILL MURRAY!!!

 She also sent me an extra for my half human/ half animal theme. Love the way he is done on book pages.


 Then I got truely beautiful card from the talented LauraM
 I have to show you the card she put it in...

 She gave me just a little peak of the awesomeness inside.    Here is the full card. I love the wolf, so soft and regal!

 I got these cards a couple days ago from dreadlady. She had to resend because they were lost in the mail. I did have a card that was lost show up about a month later (in the Halloween swap) so I will let you know if the first one does. Fingers crossed because these are awesome!!!!!

 Yay! This card is awesome. I love all the funny shirts he wears! You definitely captured him.

 I have to say when I saw the card of the trees from La Chapa I couldn't figure out what it was until I read it and thenn looked again. I was seeing the negative space first, Couldn't see the forest for the trees! LOL! It is beautifully done.

 I have been trying to post up for days but things kept getting in the way. I would have my camera at work and my cards at home and vice versa. Ugh! Today I made sure everything was together!
 I got this beautifully textured penny rug from Robinpich. I love this color combo!


 Then I got a surprise package from SunnyDawn with two amazing cards in two of my favorite themes!
 This cat has such a great texture! Love the glittter too!

And Red Riding Hood is always a hit with me. I like the sass with her hand on her hip!


 And I call these Kwonsters at home. Kwality Monsters. LOL! I think I am obsessed with them! I love how this one has almost a vintage feel to it. I can envision him in a silent film!
