Project Name: Steampunk Wall Art
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: I made this piece for the Wall Art Swap. My partner wanted eclectic and steampunk and she likes blue and purple. I tried to incorporate those into this artwork. It was my first time really attempting anything like this. I had made the book flowers for another project that fell thru and thought they would do well on here. Everything except the smaller butterflies were from my stash and everything is pretty much cobbled together like Frankenstein.

Project Name: Snap Card Wallet
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description:  These card wallets are so handy. I am trying to have a little stock pile of them but my family and friends keep claiming them. I am using up scraps for these and so far so good. I think they are turning out well for a stash project. This one is Red, White and Blue like Capt. America. The picture doesn't look very blue but it is. I promise!

Project Name: Egon in the Garden
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: I made this for the Wall Art Swap. Its of my cat Egon enjoying the garden. Egon has a little more gray on him but that is his expression. Hes such a happy cat. I drew him out, painted him, then outlined him in glue. I also drew swirls and such in glue on the background, let it dry and painted over it for more texture. The I added half pearl and chipboard pieces. I really like how this turned out.

I hope you like him GeekGirl1000100, that is my kitty Egon. He is always so happy and innocent looking even though he is a little trickster.

I received both of my packages last night! I was so excited when I got home from work and saw the packages waiting for me. I was not disappointed! Grin

First up, GeekGirl1000100 sent me this amazing cat painting of her own. I love all the detail and I love the paint splatter. Oddly enough that was one of my goals to do in this swap, paint splatter, since I like it so much! The cat is absolutely beautiful. Very elegant! I have a junk room I am turning into a guest/cats room and this is going to go in there. It's blue themed and fits perfectly! I love the swirls on the cat too. Amazing work. I love it!

She also sent along this beautiful field painting. Love the style!

 Next up is PromisedHeartBrk.
She sent me TWO amazing pieces of art! I love Red Riding Hood and my living room is RRH themed. I also have a wall o' whimsy in my kitchen and she found the perfect way to segway the two! She sent me the most amazing Red artwork. Sorry it was so hard to get a pic of without a reflection. PLEASE post up a better pic if you have one. All the details sort of get lost here and that is such a shame. It's truly amazing.

and it goes along with the cottage. Here I got a better shot of all the details. See the writing in the background and the text on the trees? Stunning.

I put them on my wall so that they go together. The path kind of continues to the other. I will fill in the gaps with other random whimsies.  Cheesy

PS. That dapper rabbit is from the talented Kwality570Wink
And she included this small Amish plaque. It will be add to the wall as well. She didn't know this but my family teases me and calls me Amish because I am so... cheap, frugal. Frugal is a better word. LOL!

Thank you so much! I loved everything and had such a great time in this swap.

3  Shadowbox Fridge Magnets in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by gozer on: April 26, 2016 09:36:27 AM
I bought some of these small windowed boxes from Michaels and decided I needed to make them into shadow boxes. They were the perfect size for tiny little art. After I finished the first one I decided to throw some magnets on the back to make it functional too. Who doesn't love functional, right?
This was my first one. A friendly little mushroom.  Cheesy

This one was for my friend, Bunny1kenobi. I used alcohol inks to color the metal box and Copics to color inside. I made it fade but then the cut out of Nefertiti covered most of that.  Tongue

I made this one for the Undercover Fandom swap. It's Pee Wee Herman's beloved bike at the Alamo.

I had a lot of fun making them and I hope you like them too. Thank for checking them out!

4  UP, Carl's South American Balloon Tours Shirt in Stenciling: Completed Projects by gozer on: April 26, 2016 09:29:17 AM
I made this shirt for the Undercover fandom swap. I haven't seen UP yet but I thought the idea of the shirt was really cute. The actual shirt is pale blue and this was the first time I have ever stenciled with more than one color. I have to cut it by hand and I think it shows but hopefully my partner still liked it.

PS. My carpet is not nearly as hideous as it shows on here. Not sure what's up with that.  Tongue

Hey there! My partner is having a hectic time in life right now so I will post up what I sent for her for you guys to see. I hope she liked everything.
I made her a shadowbox fridge magnet with Pee Wee Hermans beloved bike in front of the Alamo.

Next up is a wall hanging / chalk board / magnet holder thingie for her wall. It is based on the bar in Pulp Fiction where they do the twist, Jack Rabbit Slims. Like I said, it's magnetic so she can use the Pee Wee Herman Magnet to hold up papers and I also sent some colored chalk so she can leave messages.
I also made her a teeshirt based on the Movie Up. It's Carl's South American Balloon Tours. It was the first time I had done a stencil with more than one color.

And finally my favorite piece was the Pee Wee Herman Apron I made for her. The collar is sewn on and the red bow tie is removable. I washed the red fabric but I was worried it would still bleed a little. It has working pockets on the front too. It's big on me because I was guessing from her shoe size that she is a lot taller than my short 5 feet and I wanted it to fit her. I hope she liked it all!

I also sent extras of a tea towel and some magnetic clips.

First up, sorry for this. I have been crafting but work has been crazy so posting has been put on the backburner and then I was hosting a swap. I finally grabbed a second to post so, again, sorry for the project dump! I will be back to comment as soon as I can.

Project Name: Theres No Basement at the Alamo
Project Link: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=447269.0
Brief Description: I made this for the Undercover Fandom Swap. Its PeeWees bike in front of the Alamo, which we all know has no basement. After doing a couple these were going quicker.

Project Name: Coin Jar
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: I decided to collect all my change and save it all for a Christmas gift to myself this year. I wanted something to hold all the change that would be decorative and pretty without being Piggy Bank. I also didnt want to be able to see the money so much because that would tempt me. My Mom gave me a really old canning jar and I scrubbed it clean and alcohol inked it up. Then I hot glued some ribbon around the top. It had a nice wide open top for dropping coins in. I was really happy with this. Also, the coins it is collecting are round for Pi Day.

Project Name: Dragonfly Painting
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: A couple ladies at work and myself did a paint night. This one was different from the others I took because you had to completely draw the picture on yourself. I think it is cute and vibrant and very Spring-like. It also contains a flower. And my family nickname is Ted so I sign all my art in my house that way.  Tongue

Project Name: Up movie shirt
Project Link: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=447268.0
Brief Description: As Team Wordy, this hurts. Sorry guys. I did this for the Undercover Fandom Swap and I didnt have a book related craft on hand. Hopefully the points will appease for my betrayal of our beloved books. This is for the movie Up, which I have not seen. I was too busy reading to watch it. This was my first time using more than one color in a stenciled tee. And the shirt is pale blue if you can't tell.

Project Name: Jack Rabbit Slims Magnetic Chalk Tray
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: Again, for the Undercover Fandom Swap. It is from Pulp Fiction, the club they do the twist at. I had a toaster over tray sandblasted and sprayed it with chalkboard paint so it would look like a menu from the restaurant. I also embellished the edges. She can hang it on her wall with the PeeWee magnet on it and I included chalk so she can write messages to her family as well. This reminds me of my days in college going out dancing and having adventures.

Project Name: Snap Wallets

Brief Description: I made a bunch of snap wallets out of scrap fabric. My goal is to use up 50% of my scraps. So far I am finding some nice fabrics I forgot I even had. This one went to Bunny1kenobi for being such an amazing and loyal friend!

Brief Description: I found this fabric and thought it had a romantic feel to it. The pink is actually a lighter pink. It came out kind of bright pink on my screen but it's not.
Project Picture

Prompt: Big Time
Team: Wordy!!
Bonus Points: (include which bonus points you think you've earned, e.g., Giver, Engineering, Community, UFO)
Project Name: Pee Wee Apron
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: Again, Undercover Fandom. This was made for my partner. I was having a hard time thinking that day so it took longer than it should have. The collar is separate pieces but I tacked it down and the bow tie is removable because I was worried the red would continue to bleed a little in the wash and I didnt want the shirt turning pink. I washed it once but you know how red can be. The apron is fully lined. Its a little large on me but my partner was a lot taller. Im barely 5 foot so I hope it fits her just right. PS. Sorry my room is so messy. It was craft or clean and we clearly see which I chose.
Project Picture

Prompt: Zap! #1
Team: Wordy!!
Bonus Points: -0-
Project Name: Frame repaint
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: I grabbed some frames on sale at Michaels but the color was wrong. It was white and I needed more of a punch of color for my wall. I had to sand it because the finish didnt allow the paint to adhere. I liked the look of the grain of wood under the paint but it comes off as more streaky in the picture. It looks fine on the actual wall though.

Wednesday the tracking code for my package apparently said it left a notice at my house but I never saw it. Last night I went home and my package was there! No idea what ever happened to the notice but I was so glad they left the package and didn't make me jump thru the hoop of picking it up.  Tongue
I got the most amazing package from Kwality570. She is so amazing. I am a HUGE fan of her artwork. I love everything she does and she has such a fun and recognizable style. She surprised me with artwork this round because we agreed to swap for a super cute scarf and hat.
Here is the scarf. I love it. Great length and such a fun design. It's a pencil, obviously.  Tongue

There is a hat to match (in the same gray). I had a gray knit hat in college that I loved. It wasn't too tight and fit just right. This one reminds me of it! Perfection!

Here I am modeling my fabulous goodies. I always love to see action shots so I thought I would throw one in.  Tongue

and here for the grand finale is the artwork. An amazing cat! The paint is all shimmery so it reflected. This pic does not do it justice. It's so much more vibrant in real life. I absolutely LOVE it. It's already on my wall!!!!

Thank you so much Kwality570! You completely rocked this swap. Thank you so much for everything. LOVED it all!!!!

Details of swap:
Do you have a fandom that is pretty well known but most of the time by people who arent really that into it or have only seen the movie/show? Or people who have just skimmed the top of its potential?
I am a huge Star Wars fan but I dont always want to walk around with a Star Wars logo on my shirt. I tend to appreciate things that are of that universe but dont scream Star Wars. For example I have a Dewback Brewery shirt. Not everyone immediately associates that with Star Wars. The casual interest person probably wouldnt take a second glance at it but the true SW geek would get it immediately.
I recently saw an apron with Mellark Bakery on it and thought it was brilliant. My sister didnt get it, even though she watched and liked the Hunger Games movies. Remember Drive Shaft from Lost (or Oceanic Airways, Mr Clucks Chicken Shack, there were so many)? I still have a Greendale Community College shirt from the TV show Community. And I got my Dad a drinking glass with a Red Pony logo on it from the fictional bar in Longmire. Or what about Fangtasias from TrueBlood? Soft Kitty from Big bang Theory. I could go on and on.
How about a swap for those of us with Fandoms that dont want it to be so obvious? This would be a swap for regular fandoms that we dont want to be so blatant about or it could also be used for fandoms of things, like books, that dont really have too many items available. But you would have to be specific with your partner if you are doing something like a book or something more obscure. The intent of this swap wouldnt be to force someone to read a bunch of books or watch hours of an unknown TV show.
Yes, it's a long Questionnaire but if it's undercover than most would not have picked up on it so I want to be helpful to partners. Communication will be helpful too!

This swap will be for 1 medium and 2 smalls. You can spoil but please discuss that with your partner first.

There has been a bit of confusion as to what is a large, medium, and small item.  So here's a handy dandy guide.  This is a guideline ONLY: a rough estimate of sizes described by time it takes to make package, by physical size and by cost:

By Time
-Large = 3 or more hours
-Medium = 2 or more hours
-Small = 2 or less hours

By Size
-Large = A shawl, a shirt, a skirt, a set of jewelry with four to five items, a purse
-Medium = one single necklace or bracelet, a scarf
-Small = Earrings, stickers, wallets, pouches, bookmarks

By Price
-Large = $30 or more
-Medium = $10-$30 dollars
-Small = $10 or less
