1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / staining wood on: June 25, 2004 10:51:41 PM
I'm planning on making some wooden record cubes pretty soon, and I can't decide if I should leave the wood plain, paint it, or try to stain it.  I really want to stain it, but I don't want to use just regular wood stain.  Has anybody tried using anything cool for staining before?  I know some people have used coffee, how does that work exactly?  What else is there?  Thanks dudes!
2  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / christmas lights on: November 27, 2003 12:04:41 AM
I started digging out Christmas decorations today, and realized most of my lights don't work.  There's probably just one broken bulb messing up each string, but I think I'd rather buy new ones and make something with the old ones than try to fix them.  Any ideas?
