22  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Do they make left handed ginger pinker shears???? on: July 30, 2008 06:06:34 AM

23  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Vintage inspired Pillowcase on: July 25, 2008 01:58:08 PM
I made this for my friend for her birthday... 2 weeks late... oops !! I made a pair for her that are both the same. I hope she likes them... The banner is from sublime stitching. I got the patterns from vintage transfer finds http://mytransfers.blogspot.com/ . The flowers are my favorite... the leaves were a pain in the butt to do but it was good practice because I was a lazy daisy hater... anyways here they are...

The whole thing.. my mom holding it up... hahaha

24  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Embroidered pillow in Bust magazine on: July 19, 2008 11:41:02 PM
Have you seen how cute the pattern is for the tree and the little doggie? I think I might have to stitch this!!! I love it!!! I also like the variety of stitches they use...
25  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Political Onesies... on: June 30, 2008 12:06:34 AM
I made these in spirit of the election coming up. My stitching sort of is wonky in these and I really don't know why I was having trouble with the onesie fabric and then the stabilizer... it was making me SO MAD... but with that said... here they are.

26  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / How do you applique on shirts? on: June 27, 2008 10:40:32 PM
I've seen some shirts that have a cute little design cut out of fabric and then "appliqued" onto the shirt and then stitched around the edges. I want one!! and i went to the craft store... and yet again the people have no clue what I was even talking about. But I did see some glue there for Applique and it says you "iron it" and it makes the glue permanent to the shirt. Anyone with and tutorials or advice I would really appreciate it. An example of it is here ... http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=sr_gallery_9&listing_id=12903094 Thanks!
27  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Vintage Apron Swap? Embroidered aprons? on: June 01, 2008 04:24:22 AM

28  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / How to fix rusted cast iron skillet?? on: June 01, 2008 04:08:50 AM
I got a cast iron skillet and without looking at the care for it i left it in water for a day and rusted the inside... I've looked up a few sites on how to fix it but i was wondering if any of you have had this problem and how you solved it.... one site said water and vinegar another said scrubbing it with oil and steel wool... any advice would really be appreciated!!!
29  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Chihuahua fever!!! with bling! on: May 29, 2008 01:59:38 AM
This chihuahua is the cutest thing ever!! I got it in the craft pad and wanted to stitch it on nothing other then... A ONESIE... hhahaha but this time I added a little bling.... and what chihuahua do you know that doesn't have a little rhinestone collar? I added a little bone on the back for extra detail!

30  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / 5 embroidered Ikea Bibs on: May 29, 2008 01:02:21 AM
I loved doing these. I thought it would be hard because of the terry cloth material on the front. But instead of  ironing the stabilizer on the back I ironed it on the front and traced the pattern on to it. All the patterns are from the sublime stitching book except for the humming bird. I LOVE THE HUMMINGBIRD!!! love love love it... they are mean little buggers though, very territorial! but I love them anyways. That pattern was from the craft pad. The truck I freehanded my own flames. Just to add a little fun... so yeah... these were really cheap to like 4 bucks for all five.
