32  Could someone please help me? in Crochet: Discussion and Questions by Tsuki_Tsubasa on: December 11, 2007 07:38:20 PM
I want to make the hat thing Miku is wearing in these pictures for a friend for Christmas. She's loves Miku and would freak if I could make her one. I think it's a calorimetry and I'm fairly certain I can figure that part out fine. The problem I'm having is that at the back of it it looks like it's ruffled where as the front looks flat. How can I acheive that ruffled look? I appreciate any and all help! Thanks so much. <3's~ ^__^

Kweee~~~~ Here are the pics of the awsome things thetiniestspark sent me! <3's~ *purrs* She sent be the most gorgeous blue and white scarf! It perfectly captures the colors of winter.~And the yarn is sooo soft. *huggles it* It also has this neat shimmery thread running through it. I'm not sure what kind of yarn it is though, I've never seen this kind before. I got it yesterday and wore it all afternoon even when I wasn't outside. lol The package totally made my day.~ She also sent me a cute gingerbread tin with some yummy teas inside and some german chocolate to go with it. <3's~ Oh and I can't forget the awsome Totoro purse! 8D It even has the lil soot sprite on it. *luffs* Plus some totally precious stationary. X3 Zaaa~ I loved it all. She's been such a totally awsome and totally sweet swap partner. This has been an awsome experience! <3's~ ^____^ I just hope she likes the things I sent her as much. *nervous* Here are the pics.

A shot of everything. I took this pics at work and the Childrens director helped me set it up to look all pretty. <3's~

Close up of the small goodies. <3's~

And last but not least! Action shot of me wearing the scarf. X3 <3's~

Thanks again Jenny! <3's~ ^_______________^

34  My first hat! *excited* in Crochet: Completed Projects by Tsuki_Tsubasa on: December 07, 2007 10:37:33 PM
I made this hat using the pattern from:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=133884.0
Awsome pattern! Thank you so much for sharing it LuvCrochet. <3's~ ^__^ I crocheted this with some old yarn I had in my stash that had lost it's lable. I think it's the Homespun from Lionbrand but I have no glue what the color name is. (If anyone knows the color name please tell me! lol It's so pretty I would like to have more. ^^) I combined with it some Red Heart yarn to make it warmer and thicker. The color for it was Ocean. <3's~ You can't really see the Ocean yarn because the other was so thick. lol It gets windy here sometimes and I get earaches easily so on the inside of the earflaps I added a thick layer of felt and covered that in purple fleece to better keep out the wind. I wore it several days ago when it was windy and it really worked! I wasn't sure it it would keep the wind out of my ears as good as I hoped but it did. <3's~ lol  Well please let me know what you think! This is my first have ever and I'm pleased with how it turned out. <3's~ ^____^
