well I have 5 this week but 2 are tiney, is that cheating? hehe
this first one is 140yds of coopsworth (blue) plied with merino (brown) it's bulky

this one is wool plied with a silk cap about 82 yds

then this is 6 whole yards of merino plied with more silk hankie (I was trying to use up what was left on my bobbins so I could use them hehe)

and the last of the silk hankie its navajo plied about 12 yards worth this is fingering weight.

and las t but not least, this is my first attempt at spinning coils.  I had fun learning how to do this.  and it turned out SO soft!  this is the last of the batts I got from pmpknpunk in the May fiber swap. it's merino and glitz plied with silver metalic thread.  about 74 yards worth.

wow cloudlover and dragonflyducky those are some beautiful yarns!

I love fiber friday so much that I really got busy after looking at all the pretty yarn!  I finished another one today! that's some sort of record for me!  this one is wool plyed with irridecent thread and beads.  about 102 yards.  once I got the hang of the beads this was really fun to ply!

that's definatley it for fiber friday for me this week! LOL

snowberry lime, WOW!!  I LOVE the one w/ real freshwater pearls!  these are all stunning!

LOL and I didn't want to be left out of the corespun group, so I just spun up my very first corespun yarn.  I like how it turned out.  It was spun from the Batts I got from pnknpunk in the may fiber of the month swap.  (I used half of them)  the one problem I had is that my core thread did show sometimes.  is this something that just gets better with practice, or does it always show a little, or am I doing something wrong and need to fix it b-4 whatever it is becomes a habbit?  anyway, here's my core spun.  it has glitz in it, it's real sparkly, but I had a hard time getting the glitz to show very well.  I hope you can kinda see it.

these pics were taken fresh off the wheel, so the twist isn't set, and it's a little kinky.

close up (the white is my core thread  Sad )

wow there are some great yarns this week! I really like them all!  here's what I've spun up since I last posted.  some are from last week, but I didn't have pics to share then, so here they are this week.
these first 2 are singles spun from SSS mill ends.

this one is a 4 ply 3 are wool (dark brown, light brown, white) and one is naturally colored mohair. (from the same roving as the brown one above)

this one is a silk hankie plyed with bamboo I LOVE this one, it's so soft!

this one I spun up this week. it's 70% wool 30% silk hand dyed and carded by me Smiley this fiber was so fun to work with!
it has long stripes!

ooh, I'm a fiber friday vergin! I finished a yarn this week.
it's 23 WPI (so a light fingering weight since it's not perfectly consistent), 512yds 3.9 of superwash wool(75%) nylon (25%) blended on my drum carder, pulled into roving, dyed, and spun by me on my babe DT production wheel.

and this is what was left on one bobbin that I decided to try my first navajo plying on.  I really like navajo plying!  it's only 13 yds.  what do ya do w/ 13 yds?  I think it's about sport weight.  I didn't measure WPI.

9  Re: Show me your fiber stash! in Spinning: Discussion and Questions by mooshie on: May 30, 2008 03:16:59 PM
I have 3 pics of my fiber stash.  most of it is white, which seems borring, but I do like to dye things, and my fiber dyeing skills are improving, so I see some quality dye time in my future.

this is what I first orderd from sheep shed studio:

this was my paradise fiber order:

this is my most recent order from mielke's:

this is some hand dyed roving that I'm currently spinning:

just thought that since I finally took pics I should share.  Smiley I love looking at other people's stashes too!  I'm totally jealous of pmpknpunk's stash!  that whole room looks beautiful!
thanks for sharing everyone!
