14  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: Valentines Day gifts for husband in military training?? on: January 17, 2010 05:36:18 PM
My guy's in training too.  For his base, the boxes get opened in front of whoever, but letters are private.  (One guys MOM mailed him a porn mag!!! OOOOHHHHH!!!! LOL!)  I really like the idea of sending a pic with "I Love You" written on it.  Especially if I write it on a bristol board and take the pic naked!  Nothing bad showing, JIC, but a LOT of insinuation!  LOve IT!!!!

17  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Re: Simple pumpkin craft for kids on: October 25, 2009 06:40:04 PM
Looks great!  When I was a kid, I remember making Xmas ornaments with styro balls and scraps of fabric.  We used to cut random shapes, (not real shapes just randomness) out of Xmas fabric, about a couple of inches squared.  Then, using the back of a knife, we pushed them into the styro balls, around the edges of the fabcric.  We covered the ball so you couldn't see any more white.  It made the balls look like quilted stuffed ball ornaments!  At first glance, I thought that's what you did here... and when you asked for suggestions... I thought I'd share... maybe you could do that with oval strips of fabric to make the pumpkins!  What a fab idea... I gotta go try it!
Thanks for sharing!

Oh, I wish I had an idea for you!  But thanks for the link, that stuff looks awesome!
But did you see the "clothing porn video"?  (It's not porn, but it makes me think of a porn!  LOL!!)

Thanks for all the positive feedback!
The reason I grabbed the Duncan Hines mix... is cuz it was on sale for .97cents!  I didn't see the recipie till I got home!  What a deal!!!
Funfetti?  Sounds... Fun! Cheesy
And that recipie with PB is fab!  I wonder which other flavor combo's we could try with yellow cake mix....
Mmmm... dark chocolate... a dieter's forgiver! lol!  I usually use bittersweet, mainly bc it's cheaper.  I think I will try dark on my next try now though...
Thanks for the fantabulous ideas!
20  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Scoop and Bob the Builder Cake - with progress pics! on: April 24, 2009 06:02:41 AM
Thanks for the positive comments!  Cheesy

Yup, I gotta fight the crumblies too!  But I fight the battle when I'm spreading the icing to stick the fondant to, the icing always pulls the crumbles and it's such a mess!

I used two different flavors for this one, (just what was in my cupboard!) the rainbow chip and the butter peacan.  I don't think I'll use butter peacan again for a childs cake though, even though everyone seemed to enjoy it.  I think it's best to go with a denser cake, like yellow cake.  The flavors I used worked pretty good though.

Thanks so much again! Yay cakes~
