1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Disney Princess Skirt! (Pic chubby) on: April 25, 2008 08:11:04 AM
Let me start by saying this is my completed "from scratch" garment... I've reconned and made some bags but this is my first piece of clothing completely from scratch.

I started with a metre of pink stretch velour, a metre of net and a yard of disney princess fabric. I have loads left of everything except the net which I used up on this project. My friend Lix suggested the bow ^.^

I hate this bench

The sun was in my eyes

Unintentional action shot, I moved before the pic had taken:

And I think the sun was still in my eyes:
2  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / Disney costume patterns? on: April 01, 2008 06:46:38 AM
Ok... so I'm a big kid at heart and I desperately want some of the Disney princess dresses for myself.

I've searched and the largest size dresses i've found are for 8 year olds. Don't think that's gonna cut it somehow;)

Or does anyone know where I could get a dress pattern that i could alter to become more like the Princess dresses?

The one I absolutely desperately want is Belle's ball gown (Though I want her pink and green dresses i'm aware that there's no way I'll find a pattern for those).

Thanks so much to anyone who can help Smiley
3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My little deer... on: February 27, 2008 06:05:58 PM
I made this using Netterz pattern. I'm so pleased with how it came out... it's my grandmothers birthday present because she loves baby deers with big eyes.

I'd love feedback ^.^
4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / I need a pattern for a stuffed deer! on: February 25, 2008 03:38:58 PM
My grandmother says her favourite animal is a baby deer (specifying with REALLY BIG EYES! ^.^) and her birthday is this weekend and I desperately need to whip one up for her.

Please please please can someone help  me find a pattern. If not I think I'll have to draft my own O_O

Preferabley I need to be able to make it out of felt (as felt is literally all I have that's the right colour for this project!)
5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My Handsewn Ellie (Now a herd of handsewn ellies!) on: February 24, 2008 07:08:02 PM
After seeing this post I was enamoured by the gorgeous ellies: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=229362.0

So... I got a hold of the pattern and made my own. I'm in love with it. My best friend wants one now and I think I'm going to make a whole herd! ^.^ Completely handsewn and made from felt.

BTW I'm not mad. The reason I have an extra keyboard on my laptop is because the built in one is broken and I've not sent it for repair yet.
6  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Help! I need cherry print fabric... on: February 21, 2008 05:07:18 PM
My aunt is getting married this year and I want to make my own dress for the wedding. I have a pair of sandals I'm in love with and I want to make a dress to match them. Please can someone find me some fabric that would match (lower price the better... I'm rather poor.)

These are the shoes

I want to make my own dress because I'm finding it impossible to find a dress I like that covers my tattoos. My family don't know about them and I really need to keep them hidden at this wedding to save getting a royal ball breaking.

Thanks to anyone who can help!
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Pirates Of The Caribbean t-skirt on: January 22, 2008 04:31:01 PM
I reconstructed this today before heading out and wearing it for the evening. Woo. I love it and it's so comfy. I've had this t-shirt for years and as a skinny girl it was way too big for me. It was marked a size (american) small but it seems more like a UK medium.

My posting of this was delayed by the news of the death of Heath Ledger. RIP Heath.

Here's the back. It's not really that uneven, it was just not leveled properly when I took the photo.

And the front, which I kept big because it amused me that my slippers showed. They just don't go with the outfit.
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Since we broke up... here's your scarf back (advice?) on: December 21, 2007 04:44:52 AM
So... my bf dumped me last month and we just got round to returning eachothers things.

Included in the bag of things returned to me is the scarf I spent a month and a half making him as a surprise gift. I told him that "if he wasn't wearing it" I wanted it back and a friend of his at his uni told me he'd never seen it so I'm rather hurt. It's blue and green chenille and a beautiful warm scarf... but I dunno if I can deal with wearing it.

Is there anything else I could do with it? I'd feel weird re-gifting it knowing I made it for the ex.
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Intarsia on Calorimetry? on: October 31, 2007 08:50:22 PM
Okay....
So my boyfriend likes to ask the impossible....

and is possibley the first man in the world to ask someone to make him a calorimetry. He's got beautiful but big curly hair and doesn't always like it kept under a hat, it gives him a headache because the hats are always too tight.

But he wants a calorimetry to keep his ears warm. He wants it in black with white text on it reading "The Mop" (his nickname... because of his hair. haha)

So yeah... is this going to be possible to do in intarsia?

Or can someone recommend another method to put this text on that might be easier?

Thanks guys
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Elephant toy pattern? on: October 25, 2007 05:03:49 PM
So I love elephants.. and I want a cuddley one. Any suggestions on where I could find a (preferabley free?) pattern for this? Also a piggy pattern would be awesome! Infact.. ANY cuddley animal patterns I would LOVE! Thank you SO much in advance.

Sorry guys, I'm new to knitting and have no idea where to look for patterns -_-. I suck. I'm aware.
