2  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / new to crochet and kind of lost on: December 13, 2014 09:32:38 PM
so I am fairly new to the world of crochet but not new to the world of fiber arts....mostly have had experince in....knitting and spinning so far...

so  I am trying to self teach myself how to crochet...and its already kind of proving to b a lil frustrating since I sem to be able to chain just fine but when it comes to a actual "crochet" I guess where take the yarn back through two hops you have already made....I don't seem to get it...

I mean I tried it the way I was on the youtube video I was watching....and all I managed to do...was pull the loop entirely out.

just wondering if anyone has tips or not....
3  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / newbie to quilting wanting to find a simple pattern to start me off on: December 07, 2014 06:46:16 PM
so i am supper new to the world of quilting...and lol as much as I hate to admit I do feel more and more...over my head in this hobby since I know so very little about it.

lol I barely even know...how to use a sewing machine and I know most quilters use sewing machines.

for some reason patch work quilts seem to interest me more...then others. Right now...but like I said in the title I am really just looking for simple recommendations of basic quilts to get me started

5  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / wanting to make a burlesque bustle out of mesh fabric on: October 12, 2013 09:42:17 PM
I do burlesque routines, I have seen some really amazing bustles that some girls wear and I really wanna try making some but I am some trouble finding tutorials online for them. They look like just a regular bustle made out of mesh fabrics, and black elastic cords that ties around you for the most part

if anyone can help me out that would be great
