21  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: so I bought my first dress pattern today..... on: October 08, 2008 10:38:56 AM
I know I'm late to this discussion, but I also have to chime in that the PR patterns are not very straightforward. I'm good with patterns, but those were confusing. You might also try getting another pattern to try that walks you through step by step. The way the PR ones are set up where they describe all the different elements can be hard to wade through.

That being said...can't wait to see what you sew! Congrats on starting an addiction Smiley

I LIKE the pin.

I DISLIKE that it isn't mine.

Smiley  love it!

Thank you!
25  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: Lemony Cupcakes~ on: September 12, 2008 07:08:11 AM
I did the green tea ones and they were super yummy. I did my own altitude conversion on them.

Hmm...but I don't think they really qualify as more advanced...but they are SO good. My office ate them up fast, without even knowing they were vegan.

Oh! My! Gosh!

Really, you do have to share...are they marzipan? Because...ahem...I would think the...ahem...nutty flavor...would be better than other options. Personal preference.

Also, have most people swallowed?  Tongue   (couldn't resist)

ooh! This has been on my wishlist, but then I kinda took it off because of the thread about sewing machines, where brothers don't get a very good name. I'm totally fascinated by what you've been making and can't wait to see you put it through the paces. My current machine is a New Home that works, but does nothing fancy. I want to be able to do fancy stitches and embroider stuff! Not the birdhouse they sent you...but stuff Smiley

Okay, I found this totally by accident, but wanted to say that the idea is awesome and I admire that you made him his own little outfit! I also want to say I'm so sorry for your loss.
